Another bathroom transformed. The room was a bedroom so we had to bring all services into and from the room. We painted the free standing bath in a finish to complement the radiator which is truly stunning. This is complemented by a wash stand and LED mirror in Olive. All finished with a period style wall and floor tile to give a wonderful looking room.

I know it’s been a while since we last posted, mainly due to the showroom still not being 100% after the fire but I thought it was about time we shared some images of rooms we have completed recently despite the disruption the fire has caused. We are still seeing people on an appointment only basis in the showroom and the fitting teams are all busy fitting for our customers. I won’t leave thing as long between posts.

After what can only be explained as a year like no other. We would like to wish all our customers and suppliers a Merry Christmas and a very happy new year.

We stared with a lockdown and was unable to see customers in the showroom for the first 3 months. Once we were able to see customers again we have had a fantastically busy year and have been constantly booked around 5 months in front. We have also had to endure a fire towards the end of the year, and although it closed us for a short period, it hasn't stopped us. we are now back open. We have put this year down to experience and will grow from it.

When we reopened to customers in March we took the decision to be "APPOINTMENT ONLY" and this has proved a success for both ourselves and our customers. With the world still not being quite right, we are going to continue with the "APPOINTMENT ONLY" next year and for the foreseeable future. It allows us to give our customers more attention on a one to one basis in a safe environment. Please contact us to make an appointment to visit the showroom as well as for us to come measure your rooms.

We will finish with saying a big THANK YOU to all our new and old customers and as mentioned, as trying as this year has been, you have all amazed us with how understanding you have been with the changes implemented and supportive when we needed it most.

UPDATE

Had the specialist cleaners in and what a difference they have made. Took 2 solid days on the downstairs showroom and it looks amazing. To say on Monday it still smelt and was covered in a greasy sooty covering that we couldn’t clean off due to the fire, to this now is a total transformation. They have worked a miracle and it finally feels like there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully they will have the showroom, hallway and offices done by Friday so fingers crossed we can start looking at getting back to normal. Got a few damaged displays that will need changing but can sort that in time.

The new ceiling is almost done just the insulation to fit.

The last few days of getting the showroom and office ceiling done has been a bit of a rollercoaster.

All the heartbreak of seeing years of hard work ruined by the act of mindless idiots and the subsequent damage caused.

The hassle and grief dealing with the repairs, insurance companies along with being extremely busy with customers.

The horrid feeling seeing everything being ripped out, the muck, the dust and the lingering smell.
All this said it’s starting to take shape and slowly things are getting better.

All this has made me realise that none of what ever I have achieved would be possible without the fantastic people I call my staff. The way they have pulled together and gone above and beyond is humbling.

To each and all of you who has pulled together I thank you.

UPDATE

Big mess today. The whole upstairs ceiling and insulation is being ripped out due to fire damage. It’s heartbreaking to see the showroom like this but hopefully the new one will be fitted and sorted in the next day or so. We can then arrange for the specialist cleaners to come in and we’re nearly there.

UPDATE

Nearly 2 weeks since the fire next door, here is where we are at. We have managed to get the boiler replaced this week and hopefully the upstairs electrics will be done by the end of the week too. The upstairs showroom ceiling is being fully replaced early next week which then means we can have a specialist company in to fully clean both showrooms and the office’s. We have had a repair to the roof done but long term the roof will need to be replaced.

This aside we are still limping through in the office and showroom and still doing home visits as well as all current installations are unaffected.

So all in all it is a hinderance we could have done without and has caused a few issues but nothing we haven’t been able to deal with.

We just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to each and every person and business that has reached out to offer help and support. These little acts of kindness go along way and do help restore faith in others.

Quick update after todays drama

We are hoping to be open next week in one way or another. The showrooms and office have been vented all day but are still quite strong smelling but that should ease over the next few days.
We have cleaned round but are hoping to get it deep cleaned ASAP which should help with the smell.
The office is up and running but not at 100% but again nothing we can’t address short term so please bear with us while we try to return to normal. All ongoing jobs have not been effected and are running as normal.

I just want to say a big Thank You to everyone who has contacted us and sent messages of support. This could have been a lot worse than it was and although we could have done without it, we will deal with it and get on. This is just another one of those things that happen when you own a business. These things only make you stronger.

Please be aware that we are still appointment only basis in the showroom and office, which will continue for the foreseeable future to help us deal with the damage.

Different start to the day phone call at 4am to say your shop is on fire. Turns out some charming young gents have rammed a car into the shop next door and torched it.

Luckily thanks to a fast response from the fire brigade there is some damage to the shop but it could be a whole lot worse. Mainly smoke and water damage, some electrical but short term nothing that can’t be fixed.

Now it’s sunk in a little I realise how lucky I am as this could have quite easily been a completely different outcome if it wasn’t for the emergency services.

Needless to say the showroom and offices will be closed for a few days while we sort it out, will keep you posted as to when it’s back open.
