The boxes are packed, the kits are coming together and we’re nearly ready! ☺️ 📦

We’ve been busy behind the scenes preparing lots of lovely sewing and crafting goodies to bring along to the SHQG Exhibition at Brighton Racecourse this weekend.

From messenger bag kits and embroidery projects to plenty of quilting thread, there’s lots packed up and ready to go. 🪡

Come and find us on 5th & 6th September, 10am to 4pm - we’d love to see some familiar faces (and meet some new ones too!). 😄

Behind Be Creative is a team of passionate makers, sewers, quilters and crafters who love nothing more than helping other people get creative too.

From choosing the right fabric or supplies to working through a tricky part of a project, finding inspiration for your next make or simply having a chat about all things craft, there’s always someone here happy to help. 😄

One of the best parts of Be Creative is seeing people try something new, learn new skills and enjoy spending time being creative together.

Our workshops are designed to be welcoming, relaxed and suitable for a range of experience levels.

Whether you're joining your first workshop or you've been crafting for years, there's always something new to learn.

And yes... there is usually tea and biscuits involved too.

"What exactly is a fat quarter?" 🤔

It's one of the questions we're asked regularly in the shop.

A fat quarter is a popular fabric size that's ideal for patchwork, quilting and smaller sewing projects.

They're a great way to experiment with different fabrics without needing to buy large amounts! ✨

If you're ever unsure which fabrics or materials are best for your project, just pop into the shop & ask.
We're always happy to help point you in the right direction. 😊

A little moment for all the beautiful bags we've created together... ✨

Over recent workshops, our talented makers have been busy creating circle bags, beach bags and envelope bags, each one completely unique and full of personality.

One of our favourite things about these workshops is seeing how the same project can turn out so differently depending on the fabrics, colours and creative touches each person chooses.

Along the way there's plenty of sewing, laughter, cups of tea, shared advice and encouragement too.

Whether you're completely new to sewing or have years of experience behind you, our workshops are all about enjoying the creative process, learning something new and spending time with fellow makers.
