Sharing Essex Golf post from yesterday.
So proud of My big baby, he amazes me every day. It feels like the whole of Essex has been awaiting the semi-final results from yesterday’s fixtures if the phone calls into the office are anything to go by. 😂

So everyone can sleep tonight here they are. 😉

Thorndon Park embraced the challenge of the Orsett golf course and inflicted a 10.5 - 4.5 defeat upon Chelmsford to set themselves up for a final date with……

Orsett.

Just.

Over at Thorpe Hall, the regulation matches came down the final hole where both Romford and Orsett’s anchor men stepped up with closing birdies for a half to see the match finish at 7.5 points each.

Essex County Captain Shaun Mills was the playoff man for Orsett and the current English Amateur Champion Henry Styles was the designated playoff opponent for Romford.

Henry had the first opportunity with a 10 footer for a winning birdie at the 1st playoff hole, only to see it slip just wide.

At the 2nd, the roles were reversed, with Henry in for par it was Sean with a similar length birdie attempt to take the glory.

If there’s one thing we know of Shaun, he lives for such moments and with a heavy gallery looking on, despatched the birdie putt and took Orsett within one more win of their 5th consecutive Thornton Cup title.

Thorndon Park stand in the way and we’re certain that the 6th September will be an occasion not to be missed.

Congrats to both Thorndon Park and Orsett, we’ll see you at Colne Valley in 6 weeks time.

Full information packs will be sent to both clubs later in the week.

And congrats Bentley and Benton Hall in reaching the Thornton Plate final, you’ll also receive your full final details in the days ahead.

You have the best senior humour, the biggest heart and the kindest soul and literally light up every room you walk into. Don’t ever stop being you. When I first walk into a home to start my Assessment of the space I pretty much always start with Colour & Contrast. Basically building the colour palette. My first thought is to create something timeless that never dates but just matures with time, by adding warmth & textures and layering neutrals correctly. Then come the fundamental layers, depending on the client , with Artwork, Antiques , Stones, & Soft furnishings. Lighting is also key, natural light as well as layered lighting play a very big role within a space and also introduce all the warmth needed within particular areas. Incorporating architectural elements can also play a fundamental role because it gives a space presence & character. Placing the correct metals , bronze, antique brass, also add depth and warmth and create the most perfect setting & tone. It’s all in the details and the placement of each individual piece.

Just had the most incredible lunch at one of the most loveliest locations with the best company……
