I'd love you to help create a special community display for The Stitching Fair this August!

The theme is:
✨️ What Scarborough Means To You ✨️

Create a 10cm x 10cm square using any textile craft you like:
🧶 Knitting
🧶 Crochet
🪡 Hand Embroidery
🪡 Cross Stitch
🪡 Needle Felt
🪢 Macrame
🪡 Sewing
✨️ Or any other textile art!

Your square could be: 🌊 A seaside scene 🦀 A favourite Scarborough memory ☀️ Colours that remind you of the town 🐦 A seagull 🏰 The castle 🍦 Ice cream 💙 Or simply something that feels like Scarborough to you!

There are no rules beyond the size - just a 10cm x 10cm piece inspired by our beautiful seaside town

All of the squares will be brought together and displayed at The Stitching Fair at Scarborough Spa, creating a collaborative piece of community artwork for everyone to enjoy!

Need supplies? Pop into the shop and I'll happily provide fabric or scraps from my stash or simply use materials you already have at home

📅 Please bring your finished square to The Stitching Lady by Saturday 1st August 2026

Todays tiny cross stitch motif...my resident shop spider. He lives in a corner but occasionally pops out for a look around! I hope he is the same one from last year but its a bit hard to tell! Xx

Today's tiny cross stitch motif...a Nun. Ever since I was little ive loved the film Nuns on The Run. Ive searched for ages to watch it and last night I found it! Absolutely love Robbie Coltrane! Xx
