With less than a week to go, I’m busy behind the scenes prepping my popup shop. As you can see, I’ll be bringing some old favourites with me - including the incredibly useful but beautiful scissor fobs and needle threaders.

Please wish me luck, as I’m also working on something completely new and I need the technology gods to be on my side. I’ll give you a clue… it involves my big boy, mean machine, laser cutter….. 😳🤞

I’m super excited to be making a start on the latest CAL designed by the fabulous

The Original Craft Ty CAL kits are available to purchase exclusively from and include a set of stitch markers and so much yarn, it won’t all fit in the project basket I’ve chosen for the occasion. The basket also happens to be another pattern from the ladies at The Crochet Sanctuary - they’re just so talented 💜

Anyway, time to stop rambling and start crocheting! 🧶

A couple of years ago, Swarovski introduced significant restrictions on how small businesses could use their products. It meant I could no longer use their crystals to make stitch markers. This is why my popular ‘Bling Boxes’ came to an end 😢

However, I positively jumped for joy when I received an email from my supplier, stating that Swarovski have just announced the removal of all purchasing and branding restrictions. This means their products are now, once again, available for me to create the most amazing stitch markers!

This is great news for anyone signed up to the Crystal Stitch Marker Club! And there are still spaces available if you fancy joining the Crystal crowd! Just saying 😉

But in all seriousness, this is a massive change and I can’t wait to start shouting about Swarovski crystals once again and how super sparkly they are!

I’ve been a little under the weather this week, so there was an unavoidable delay in getting the parcels sent. Hopefully the complimentary upgrade to first class postage will be appreciated by all my lovely customers this month 😘 The good news is, I’m now on the mend, so will hopefully be able to enjoy the lovely weather we’re expecting this Bank Holiday weekend ✨☀️

Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes in the Mrs G Makes HQ? As you’ll see, it’s far from glamorous 😂

As you all know, I love my gadgets, so when a friend introduced me to these snazzy magnifying glasses, they jumped straight into my shopping basket!

Boy did I need them for the April stitch markers! The holes were so tiny I couldn’t even see them with my naked eye 👀

In case there was ever any doubt, this video proves how much I love my job. Thankfully though, the May stitch markers are proving a little less troublesome 🥰

It’s a Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK, and today has been a relaxing family day. My children are all grown up now, so I cherish the days we get to spend together.

In between making homemade pizzas and talking about all our plans for the summer, I’ve managed to pick up my crochet and work on the final round of the border of the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ CAL. This was a ‘not quite finished’ Christmas 2025 gift for my son’s partner - there’s light at the end of the tunnel, finally! It’s an amazing blanket that I will be very pleased to finish! ❤️
