I’ve made it my personal mission to pass on the joy of creativity, sewing, patchwork, and quilting to makers of all skill levels. What started as an online community connecting passionate creatives around the world, has now moved into a Sheffield studio local community classes! A lot of my students, both in the studio and the community, take notes to gelp jog their memory when working on their own. However, I think this is the most detailed and well laid out book I've seen!! He's even notated when things have gone wrong and how he's found solutions. For our current project, he's even got swatches clipped to the pattern!

We all know that feedback is so important, whether it's to confirm that what we're doing is right or that we need to make adjustments. Some feedback touches us more than others.

From a small start at home in April 2008 to a bustling studio today, this business journey has been quite the ride.

​Like many makers, I started out standardly enough: crafting items from home to sell. That gradually evolved into online teaching when someone suggested I share my skills. By December 2019, I took a leap and acquired the studio space. Once the madness of COVID passed, I began running in-person studio workshops and community classes alongside my day job supporting at college.

​It started quietly, but two years ago I decided to go all-in. I left my college position to focus entirely on building the studio and expanding our community classes.

​Looking back now, this year has seen the studio truly take off. I always had dreams of this little business doing well, but seeing it actually happen still surprises me every single day.

​To everyone in our online community, every student who steps through the studio doors, and everyone who trusts me to craft their quilts and custom ironing board covers—thank you. Your support makes all of this possible, and I am genuinely grateful for every single one of you.
