I thought I'd share some of the pieces of cloth that I've produced in the dyeing class. It's been interesting to see the subtle differences on either side of the fabric.

Thinking about starting your first patchwork project, but feeling overwhelmed by all the gadgets out there? I know I was when I first started and now, there is so much more out there.

You don’t need a whole studio full of tools to get started, but patchwork does rely on precision. your old kitchen scissors and a chipped ruler will only lead to mismatched corners and frustration!

To set yourself up for smooth, stress-free sewing, you need 5 core essentials in your toolkit:
1️Rotary Cutter
2️Self-Healing Mat
3️Acrylic Quilting Ruler
4️ 1/4-Inch Patchwork Foot
5️ Pins and/or Clips

Zips were the focus in the studio, completely by coincidence. Jan inserted her first invisible zip and made a really good job of it! In the evening. Lindsey successfully made her first zipped pouches.
