Here's how it works:

You get Furniture Painting at 10% off.

I get an honest review at the end documenting your experience.

That's it. No catch.

I'm doing this because I want more people in Surrey to experience what transforming a piece of furniture actually feels like and this is my way of making it easy for the right person to say yes.

If you've been thinking about it, this is your moment.

Drop CASE STUDY in the comments or DM me and I'll send you everything you need πŸ™‚

I think a lot about the fact that most things we bin, most things we replace without a second thought, just needed a little love and attention. That's it. That's all it was.
I grew up believing that if something could be fixed, you fixed it. If it could be repainted, you painted it. If it could be worn again, you wore it.

That's not a trend for me. It's not a brand message.

It's just how I live.

And somewhere along the way I realised I could actually teach this. Show people that the chair they were about to get rid of could become the most beautiful thing in their living room. That the shoes gathering dust at the back of the wardrobe could become something they can't wait to wear.
So that's what I do. Every week, in my little studio on the Thames.

I'm not trying to save the world.

I just genuinely believe we could all be doing a bit more with what we already have.

And it turns out when you show people that's possible, something shifts for them.

That bit never gets old.

😘😘

You've been thinking about it for a while, haven't you. πŸ‘€
Seen the post. Thought ooh, I'd love that. Kept scrolling.

That piece of furniture is still sitting there. Bugging you every time you walk past it.

The "hinking-about-it" phase has had long enough, lovely.

Four hours. Everything included. Right on the banks of the Thames in Shepperton.

Message me INFO or find all the details in my link in bio.

Lots of vintage chic love ❀️

What if everyone else seems more confident, more creative?

What if you just feel a bit awkward?

I get it. Walking into somewhere new, not knowing a soul, not knowing quite what to expect, that takes courage.

Here's what actually happens at my workshops in Shepperton.

You arrive. I make you a brew. You meet the others, who, by the way, are feeling exactly the same as you.

We go through everything together. Colours, brushes, technique. Nothing is assumed. Nothing is rushed.

You get your hands on the paint. You start to see it happening right there in front of you. The colour going on. Your piece coming to life.

And suddenly you're not worried about any of it. You're just… enjoying it πŸ˜€

Nobody has ever left wishing they hadn't come.
Not once.

If you've been sitting on the fence, this is your sign.

Drop me a message and I'll tell you everything you need to know before you book.

Take that step, you won't regret it.

5 things I wish everyone knew before choosing a paint colour for their furniture.

Picking the wrong colour is a huge reason people never even get started.

So let's fix that.

1. Start with your room, not the tin.
What's already in there? Floors, soft furnishings, wall colour. Your paint choice needs to work with those not fight them.

2. Cool room? Go warm.
A north-facing room needs a warm tone to bring it to life. Frenchic has gorgeous warm neutrals that do exactly that.

3. Don't be scared of bold.
Deep, moody tones. Rich jewel colours. Even a statement mustard or forest green. On the right piece, a sideboard, a chair, a chest of drawers; bold is stunning. Back yourself.

4. Test it. Always.
Frenchic do peel and stick tasters, genius little things. If you're working on a piece at home, use one. See it in your actual room, in your actual light.

5. When in doubt call it contrast.
Light walls, dark furniture. Dark walls, light furniture. Simple. Effective. Always works.

The good news?

If you're coming to one of my workshops in Shepperton, we go through all of this together before you pick up a brush. Colour matching, brush choice, technique, it's all part of the day.

Just got back from a weekend in a beautiful field next to the River Wey. And honestly? Exactly what I needed. No studio. No emails. No to-do list.
Just sunshine, shade, and the sound of the river.
Me, my friend Louise, Ted and the most glorious heat.

We swam in the river. Did yoga. Showered al fresco. Sat in the shade and just… talked.

Ted, as always, had absolutely zero chill. I love him for it. 🐾

People sometimes ask how I switch off.
This is it, really. And I think that's why I love what I do so much.

The studio, the workshops, the kids turning tin cans into something brilliant, it all comes from the same place as a weekend like this.

Being present.
Actually in the moment.
When you're painting a piece of furniture, there's nothing else.
Not the shopping list, not the school run, not whatever's sitting in your inbox.
Just the brush, the paint, and what you're making.
That's not an accident.
That's kind of the whole point.

I grew up believing the best things in life are made, not bought.
Made with your hands. Made with time. Made with a bit of care.

The river, the al fresco shower, the upcycled furniture, the lampshade someone transformed last Saturday, it's all the same thing really.

Right. Back to it.
Enjoy the sunshine,
Lots of love

This lovely client came to one of my upcycling workshops here in Shepperton, right on the banks of the Thames. She'd never done anything like it before.
And she left proud of what she'd made.

Genuinely proud.

That's the bit that gets me every time.
Because so many people walk in thinking they're not creative enough, not experienced enough, not sure if it's really for them.

And then an hour in, something shifts.
The chat flows. The tea's on.
And suddenly they're completely absorbed in something that's just theirs.

This client described it as calm. Peaceful. Accessible.
Whatever your level.
That's exactly what I set out to create every single time.
If that sounds like something you need right now, I'd love to have you in the studio.
