The inspiration for all of Peony Faux Flowers comes from the Ruckley Estate, in the heart of the Shropshire countryside, which is home to founder Julie Bates and family.

We love sharing these every month! It's such a lovely opportunity to share a little of the meaning and symbolism behind some of the flowers we love so much. 🌸

November has two flowers often associated with its birthdays, with the Chrysanthemum as the primary flower and the Peony as the secondary!

Which might seem a little odd, as you wouldn't usually associate peonies with this time of year here in the UK. But remember, the seasons are reversed in the Southern Hemisphere, where peony season starts around November!

These are two of our favourite flowers overall, with so much versatility, beautiful varieties and plenty of character.

A busy day for the Peony team over in Shrewsbury today!

We popped into Soul Candles Ltd this morning, to have a little play with the stems 💐

Julie has put together a couple of beautiful autumnal arrangements for you using stems available in the shop and we recorded a few little top tips and arranging videos too which we'll post very soon.

It's such a beautiful shop - full of gorgeous homeware and quirky decor! And right opposite M&S too with a bus stop outside, so it's easy to get to!

Definitely worth a visit.

We also have to give a shout-out to their neighbours Outset Coffee for the lovely coffees, even if Julie and Kerry did accidentally drink each others 🫣☕

Then, we headed just up the road to Royston Blythe in Shrewsbury to update their salon flowers and catch up with the wonderful team about the plans for their big seasonal wreaths! Which we LOVE to do each year 🎄

All in all a lovely day! Shropshire businesses are the best businesses.
