Ambitious regeneration work is due to start next week on the public realm improvements to Shipley Market Square. This re-development, Government-funded through the and WYCA, will create a contemporary and adaptable space, suitable for events and pop-up market stalls. The square will feature a new all-weather canopy meaning it will be able to host year-round events, regardless of the weather. The existing permanent market stalls will be removed allowing for a revitalised market to regularly take place under the canopy and along the promenade.

We have created a directory of Warm Spaces – places across the district where you can go to keep warm this winter.
The network of Warm Spaces includes libraries, museums, community centres, churches and other venues.
All Warm Spaces are free to use. Each place can offer something different. Some will provide hot drinks, a chance to socialise and put on activities while others may have free wi-fi and cosy, quiet corners for you to relax or read. One thing always on offer is a warm welcome to anyone who needs to use the space.
