In Feng Shui, a balanced room should guide the eye effortlessly through the space, creating a sense of flow and harmony. When the eye settles on one place, it can create stagnation in the energy (chi) and make the space feel static.

Try these tricks to apply this principle:
Mix textures, patterns, and colors in furnishings
Balance focal points (e.g., artwork, furniture) with negative space
Create visual interest with layers and depth

By doing so, you'll create a dynamic and engaging space that nourishes your mind, body, and spirit!

Ooh - a tricky one! I've come to the conclusion that clawfoot tubs are really only for bathrooms so big that you can walk all the way around it. Otherwise, the dust bunnies come to stay!🐰

So it's drop in tubs for me - no-one wants to think about the cleaning whilst they're relaxing in the bath 🛀

In Feng Shui, bathtubs can be a bit tricky. Here are some key considerations:

Positioning: Avoid placing a bathtub directly under a window or opposite the door, as this can make the space feel vulnerable and disrupt relaxation.
Clutter-free zone: Keep the area around the bathtub clutter-free and clean to promote relaxation and positive energy.
Colors: Soothing colors like whites, creams, or soft blues can create a calming ambiance.
Plants: Avoid placing plants near the bathtub, as moisture can cause them to thrive in unwanted ways!
Energy flow: Ensure good energy flow (chi) around the bathtub by not blocking the surrounding area.

What do you all think?

Walk-In Wardrobe vs. W**e Cellar: Which One Elevates Your Home’s Energy?

✨Imagine designing your dream home and having this as an option! Luxury features like walk-in wardrobes and w**e cellars can add sophistication and value. But beyond aesthetics, have you ever considered how they influence the energy flow (Qi) of your home?

☯From a feng shui perspective, both options carry unique energetic properties. So, if your space allows - which would you choose?

Walk-In Wardrobe: A Space of Abundance or Clutter?

**Feng Shui Perspective**
A well-organized walk-in wardrobe represents prosperity and self-care🥰. It symbolizes a life of abundance, where clothes and accessories are neatly stored, allowing energy to flow freely. However, if neglected, clutter can accumulate, leading to stagnant Qi, which may affect personal well-being.

👉Feng Shui Tip: To maintain positive energy, regularly declutter, use natural light, and add wooden elements to balance the space’s energy.

W**e Cellar: A Reservoir of Yin Energy

**Feng Shui Perspective**
A w**e cellar holds bottles aged over time, symbolizing wisdom, patience, and celebration. However, being underground or in a dimly lit space, it carries Yin energy, which can feel heavy if not balanced with warmth and activity.

👉Feng Shui Tip: To balance Yin energy, add warm lighting, wood accents, and keep it well-ventilated to prevent stagnation.

So...
🔹 If you value personal growth, organization, and self-care, a walk-in wardrobe may enhance your energy flow.
🔹 If you enjoy hosting, appreciate patience, and want a space that reflects wisdom and abundance**, a w**e cellar could be ideal.

Either way, feng shui principles can help you design a space that fosters positive energy! Which would you choose? Let me know in the comments! 🍷👗✨

A Room with a View!

This project was a golden feast for the eyes. Gold represents abundance and luxury and this stunning guest bedroom was in need of a serious upgrade. What I loved about this is the clients eye for upcycling pre-loved items and being unafraid to be bold!

Step 1: Visiting this beautiful converted windmill and capturing that gorgeous view over The South Downs. I took all my measurements and pictures and quickly ascertained that the bed should stay facing the view so the general layout was already spot on.

Step 2: Finding the perfect mural wallpaper for behind the bed to encapsulate the clients love of the country and to bring the outside in.

Step 3: Creating a mood board around the mural, finding the perfect colour combination, flooring material and colour, accessories that compliment the natural style of the room.

Step 4: Recommending colours to try, samples to buy and new ways to use the rest of the space - the room is large and needed to accommodate a work from home area but essentially the comfort of a guest bedroom.

The rest was down to the client who had an eye for spotting a bargain and making use of wallpaper cut offs! Before I could blink the painter was in, flooring down and room finished in time for her guest's arrival. She had more vision than she realised but just needed a helping hand to get started on the project.
