The Countryside Florist is owned and managed by qualified and enthusiastic florist Rebecca Walker. Rebecca strives to produce beautiful, quality bouquets and arrangements, aswell as planted baskets. A little behind the scenes as to some of the prep that goes into getting the flowers ready to use in your most special bouquet 🤍 there is so much prep and care that goes into making sure each flower is treated properly to get the most out of it!

We do this for every single rose! Whether that be for a bouquet or a buttonhole, a centrepiece or an archway..and with spray roses there can be 4+ heads per stem! It’s definitely time consuming, but it is most definitely worth it as the overall look it just so much more polished and pretty!

Florists, do you leave your guard petals on or do you painstakingly remove them like us?

So simple yet so effective! Clare chose to define her aisle with our beautiful sage green chiffon chair drapes. Alternate chairs had the addition of delicate bundles of florals to coordinate with the rest of her wedding flowers, which had such a lovely wild, spring feel to them!

If you’ve got your florals booked with me for this year, I’m hosting a couple of mornings dedicated to catching up with you all!

💛 30 Minute Zoom/Teams appointments to make any final amendments and confirm plans
💜 Existing couples only (length of appointment not suitable for initial consultations)
🩵 Available on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 31st May, starting at 9am, back to back until the last appointment at 12pm
🧡 For wedding dates until September 2026 at this stage

Any other business owners feeling the same? I know when I’ve mentioned it on stories I’ve had messages from people who agree! But is it a widespread feeling?

I wish we could go back to an Instagram where you could share a photo. Literally share a photo of someone or something that you love or have made or are proud of, that you want to share with the world. And for that photo to actually be seen by people who will enjoy it.

Please can we go back to that?!

Did you know, we have high quality LED candles to hire which are so realistic they look like “normal” candles?

When most of our local venues switched to being flame free (for really sensible reasons!) we knew that we needed to find an alternative that was still going to look classy and twinkly, so we invested in these and we have been so pleased with them! In our beautiful clear glass cylinders they are a classic look, and can be paired with bud vases as seen here, foliage, or a beautiful ring of florals.

A shower bouquet is the most time intensive bouquet to make, it is very intricate work! But, I absolutely love the finished result every single time. The shape just lets every flower shine and it is so easy for the bride to hold, you can’t go wrong with it!
