There are lots of new yarn and shades at Purl &Jane to welcome in the chilly season!
They are all in the Skipton studio already and I am slowly and steadily getting them onto the website. (it is very tempting to start knitting with them and not photograph them for the website!)

So where shall we start?
I feel this Silk Kid Mohair is the perfect one to begin with!

It is 72% Mohair and 28% Silk
It has 210m per 25g
It is £8.95 for 25g
And it is absolutely gorgeous.
Like all the yarns in the Purl &Jane family - it is a very good yarn at a very good price!

It’s Yarndale in Skipton this weekend 🎉 So the Skipton studio has extended hours.
On Friday we are open until 6pm AND open as usual on Saturday AND open on Sunday 🙌🏻
If you are in Skipton we hope to see you for some Yarndale fun!
There is the ex-display sample sale, so lots of garments already knotted for you to try on, it’ll be lovely to see them go to loving homes 💖

The North Yorkshire Yarn Trail is back from Saturday 12th to Sunday 27th September, for the 5th year! Wow! Can’t believe it’s been 5 years already!!

When you pop into the Skipton studio you’ll get your Yarn Trail passport stamped AND you’ll get a free Purl &Jane knitting pattern! It’s the perfect way to start a new project or use up some of your stash.

As well as that special gift there will be a sale on selected yarns and the annual ex-display garments sale is also starting now!

🙏I tried really hard to become a one-project knitter...

💃…and then I cast on something new.

⏳ After eight weeks away from writing my regular Weekly Stitches blog post, I’ve realised it’s time to stop fighting it and simply embrace who I am – a knitter who loves the process just as much as the finished piece.

🙌🏻 Sometimes my hands want simple garter stitch. Sometimes they want a pattern that makes me think. And sometimes a beautiful new yarn simply has to be cast on.

📝 In this week’s blog I’m sharing what I’ve been knitting, why I think social media has changed the way we concentrate, and why I’ve decided to stop feeling guilty about having more than one project on the needles.
