5 weeks to go until the South Normanton Gala, and I’m trying to be the picture of organisation… but let’s be real, I’ll still be crocheting ears, tails, and tiny labels at midnight the night before. It’s part of the magic at this point.I can’t wait to set up my stall, see everyone at Carnfield Hall, and bring a whole bundle of whimsy to the weekend. Who else is buzzing already? I know I am. 💛✨

the rain gods have clearly clocked in for their shift and are blessing us with this gorgeous cool-down. After the last few days of heat, this drizzle feels like someone hit the refresh button on the whole world.

Meanwhile my brain is over here like… “count stitches? absolutely not.” Yesterday I restarted a head four times because my stitch-counting abilities packed their bags and left. Hopefully today I’m operating on something more solid than mush.

There’s just something magical about rain after heat — like the air finally exhales.

🧶 Thought of the Day:
Do left‑hand crocheters crochet differently to right‑hand crocheters? 🤔

I just saw a pattern labelled “left‑handed crochet” and it got me thinking — does a lefty’s work actually look different to a righty’s? Are those patterns just for left‑handed folks?

Now I’m questioning my own technique because apparently, as a right‑hander, I should crochet counter‑clockwise… but I crochet clockwise! 🫣

Testing some makes for the Gala today and we’ve reached the final fire test stage… and honestly, I hate setting fire to them. My little creations deserve better than being sacrificed to the flame gods, but safety first and all that 🔥🧡
