Our next fair our cafe will be serving our new roasted coffee. Made by the one and only Peter Devereux from the late 90s duet Artful Dodger.
At Netley Fair we like to use the best quality, local produce in our little cafΓ©. So we tracked down a local supplier of freshly roasted speciality coffee beans. We are proud to be using Deveroast coffee from Botley Mills.
We visited the Artful Roaster and spoke to the owner, Pete Devereux. Pete was one half of Artful Dodger, back in the late 90's. He always yearned to roast coffee and he set up his coffee house in an old engine room at the mill.
He has made his own speciality roast coffee blend, aptly named Old Engine Room Blend, using the finest quality beans available. What we liked about the blend is the clean, well-balanced flavours, natural sweetness with hints of chocolate, fruit and honey. It comprises coffee from Brazil, Guatemala and Indonesia. It is a medium-bodied coffee that can be enjoyed throughout the day.
We use the V60 drip method to produce a really fresh cup of coffee. The beans are roasted by Pete several times a week, so they are always fresh. Adam grinds the freshly roasted beans to order in our cafΓ©. We had the V60 drip stand made by hand from solid wood, by an artisan, especially for our Fairs.
We hope you enjoy our speciality locally roasted, hand-brewed coffee. We are proud to announce that we have just been rated 5 for food hygiene by Eastleigh Council.
