BEFORE ➡️ AFTER | Our little bedroom makeover 🤍

From a very real, very lived-in bedroom to the cosy little space I had pictured in my head. 🥹
I started with a simple layout change, organised and added a few soft touches while working with the small space, built-in wardrobe and cot we already have.

It’s not a huge transformation, but it feels so much calmer, cosier and more intentional and that’s exactly what I wanted. 🤍✨
Welcome to our little bedroom refresh! 🏡

The first step of our bedroom makeover is done! 🤍

I’ve started with a simple layout change to make better use of our small space. There’s still lots more to do like tidying, organising and decorating, but it already feels like we’re heading in the right direction. ✨

This is just the beginning of the bedroom makeover… let’s see how it turns out! 🏡🤍

This Weeks Project | Bedroom Makeover Vision ✨

These two pendant lights look so beautiful hanging on either side of the bed, but in reality, they’re not the most functional option for our bedroom.
With the cot taking up space, a built-in wardrobe and such a tight room, there’s honestly not much we can change layout wise. So this moodboard is more about creating the vision within the space we already have. 🤍

Now let’s see how it actually turns out… because let’s be honest, our bedroom is never this tidy with my curious, adventurous toddler around! 😂🤍

I started this crochet project more than two months ago, thinking I’d finish it quickly. But life happened. Between work, home, my little one, and simply not always feeling motivated, it kept getting put aside.

Some days I felt inspired. Other days, I just didn’t want to pick it up at all. And that’s okay. 🤎

But somehow, little by little, I kept coming back to it. Sometimes it was just five minutes. A few stitches here and there. No pressure, no perfect routine, just slowly continuing.

And now, it’s finally finished. 🧶✨

Maybe it’s not always about finding motivation. Maybe it’s about starting with whatever little energy you have and trusting that those small moments will eventually become something real.

Slow progress is still progress. And I’m so glad I didn’t give up on this one. 🤍

Before → After 🤎✨

A little entryway refresh to make this corner feel more warm, welcoming. I wanted to keep the Scandinavian inspired simplicity while bringing in a few muted colours and cozy textures.

Everything is renter-friendly, practical and easy to switch up including the no-drill hooks. 🏡

Sometimes a small change can make an everyday space feel so much more special.

The Range

A little more warmth for this awkward entryway 🤎

I styled this corner at first with things I already had, but it still felt a little too plain and unfinished. I wanted it to feel warmer, more welcoming and a little more personal, without losing the calm Scandinavian-inspired look.

So I made a quick trip to Range and picked up a few small touches; the tea-light holder, key hooks, diffuser and vase and rearranged what I already had.
The muted blush hooks, warm candlelight and dried flowers add just enough colour and texture without making this small space feel busy. I also switched to a taller arrangement to give the corner some height, while still keeping the fuse box accessible.

I think this version feels much more like me. 🤍

The wall is still waiting for one final touch. I’m looking for a narrow, neutral piece of artwork because the space is too small for a standard frame.

Which version do you prefer? before or after?

Making the most of an awkward little entryway 🤍

In my entryway there’s a fuse box I can’t change and a small corner that’s always been a bit tricky to style. These drawers were originally in my bedroom, but they felt like too much in the space, so I moved them here instead.

A little rearranging, a few things I already had, and slowly making this corner feel more welcoming. ✨
What do you think? does it work here?

A small change, but it made a difference. 🤎

Before: just the spotlight.
After: a pendant shade to soften the light and make the dining area feel a little warmer and cosier.

Nothing major — just making the rental work a little better for us. ✨

No ambient lighting in my living room… so I decided to fix it myself. 🤎✨

A little rental-friendly DIY, a pendant shade, and a spotlight I already had, turning a basic dining corner into something much warmer and cosier.

Come hang this with me 🏡✨

POV: your rental has ZERO ambient lighting… but you refuse to live under spotlights.

My rental came with loads of ceiling spotlights but no ambient lights at all. And since I know absolutely nothing about electrical work, rewiring isn’t exactly on my DIY list. 😂

So I thought what if I work with the spotlight instead of removing it?

There’s a spotlight right above my dining table, so I added a pendant shade underneath it to soften the light and create a warmer, cosier glow. 🤎

Is it a perfect solution? No.
Is it rental-friendly? Yes.
Did it make the dining area feel SO much cosier? Definitely.✨

Sometimes you don’t need to change the whole room, you just need to get creative with what your rental already gives you. 🏡
