We’re Hiring! Apprentice Manufacturer

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn practical manufacturing skills while earning a wage and working towards a nationally recognised Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operative qualification.

You’ll get hands-on experience making bespoke blinds and shutters, using workshop machinery and tools, carrying out quality checks and learning from our experienced team.

No previous experience needed - just enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to learn.

Here are 3 shading tips and tricks from the BBSA that actually work to help keep your home cooler during a heatwave: ☀️🏠

✅ Keep your blinds closed AND windows shut during the day to stop solar heat entering your home.
✅ Only open windows when it's cooler outside than inside – usually in the evening or overnight.
✅ Be proactive – close your blinds before rooms heat up, rather than waiting until they're already hot.

Most people open their windows as soon as the temperature rises, but that can actually make your home even warmer.

Your existing blinds and shades are more effective than you might think – it's all about using them at the right time.
