This stunning and very collectible Claire McCardell dress will most likely be heading to eBay.
I’ve done a lot or research on this designer and she has had exhibitions at the Met in New York, The V&A and other museums. She added pockets and has created some stunning designs.

This one dates from the late 1940s judging by label and history of the brand. 2 pockets, side metal zip and a full skirt.
The gauze under the detail is showing some age and has had some repairs with webbing. There is 1 small hole to note and a historical fix by the zip.

Couple of things to note, small mark, fabric above zip and a little fray on the bust, pictures attached.
