🌸 HOW ARE WE DOING IN OUR NEW ERA?? .. with the floristry/retail side of the business now in its new chapter with Rebecca and Matt - they will be moving it forward with exciting new plans, and it will keep thriving and evolving (as it should) but what are Roger and I up to? well quite frankly I’m going to completely honest , many of you have been following us for years will know all the achievements we have made through the journey, but I was starting to feel detached from what was my passion and swallowed up by admin and the pressure of progression to the point where I felt myself saying ‘what am I doing now? … my Dad once told me his head was filled with boxes that were filled with jobs to do, and he couldn’t open the next box until he closed the previous.. this resonated with me instantly as he described how I felt (but couldn’t put it into words like he did) but I think I had all my boxes opened and not managing to close them either 🤯
It’s so important recognising when you are not happy, and letting go of things can be daunting, I realise now I haven’t lost anything, but opened myself up again to regain the passion and creativity which I love. To keep my hand in floristry without the pressure, I will be continuing to do the flowers for our sister shop and daughters
So it’s just the 2 of us again, going back to growing for all of us to share and enjoy, I have so many ideas for next year and we will be transforming an area on the farm for the new PYO HQ and a new photo back drop so I can create seasonal arrangements again to inspire you to create at home and I’ve even got plans to start growing again which I’m excited about… but more on that another time! Roger will have the chance to start his woodwork projects and have his own man space 😉
So onwards and upwards on the new chapter, with a new prospective but with the same passion, the flower farm will continue to be an amazing place to visit, relax and enjoy and hopefully I will be able close many of my boxes and enjoy the flowers again x
