Mermaids have the power to change tide and time but they are forbidden by Neptune to use their powers to impact human life. The legend surrounds one mermaid who used her power to save her beloved sailor from drowning in a storm, she was banished to the depths of the ocean, never to see her sailor again and her tears still wash ashore as sea glass 💔
