Hello, I’m Sharon, I have been sewing since a young age, my mum taught me, she would make a matching skirt for me, her and my Sindy. She also made me some pedal pushers back in the 80’s that I was so chuffed about. I am not very tall so I have always had to turn up trousers etc but I also love to buy something that needs altering to fit me. I am a self employed single parent and work from home. In 2022 I applied for a council grant that enabled me to buy my sewing machine, overlocker and screen printing kit. I have designed and screen printed my own logo onto my labels as I wanted to be self sufficient. I have been making colourful cushions ever since. I love to find fabric remnants, vintage, retro or modern or buy fat quarters and match them together to make striking colourful cushions with contrasting piping. I am quite often in as it is local to me and I can’t resist. I bought this sunflower fabric there back in December when I was looking for festive fabric. 🌻🎄
