The insomnia box is done (except for possibly coating it with a layer of acrylic lacquer when it's a bit warmer outside for spraying.)
I think this one will be heading to Lincoln with the eldest, but I've 2 more the same size that I'm going to do something similar with.

Off to tomorrow to see so I've made a load of Misfit badges to give out. I've always thought Pulp fans should be called Misfits.
I posted about them on the Pulp Fan Club page and ended up selling a few too, which was an unexpected bonus. I really should sell things more often..... Anyone want any badges making?

I went to see on Saturday.
On Friday night I realised my usual gig clothing of dungarees would be ridiculously hot in the current weather so I decided to wear a skirt.... Except I didn't have a skirt, I only had the idea for a skirt, and no pattern. I found some vague instructions online, drew up a pattern and by Saturday afternoon I had a reversible wrap skirt.
I even had enough time to make some Misfit badges to give out.
I was still ridiculously hot, but I got a lot of compliments 😁🕺

I'm doing a short beginners course in fashion and textiles at college at the moment. I'm not a beginner so I'm not learning much that's new, but that's fine because I'm getting to play with some cool machines, do things that I can't do at home, like screen printing and meet some like-minded people.
Tonight I spent 4 hours doing my homework of colouring in this design that I drew last week. Tomorrow I'll get to play with the heat press machine to print it onto silk and then we'll be making bucket hats from the fabric. Bucket hats don't suit me, so chose the colours and the hat will be for them. We both love mushrooms/toadstools though. 🍄
Tomorrow we have a very important meeting that we've been waiting about 7 years for (If you know me you might be able to guess what we've waited 7 years to find out), so the distraction of 4 hours of colouring was much needed

A productive Sunday morning.
I finally got around to making a bag for my ironing mat and patchwork rulers as the plastic bag they were in kept ripping.
It's just a simple bag with a velcro fastening. Took no time to make but it's something I've been meaning to do for ages.
Used some very cute pretend cross stitch sampler fabric that I think I got from many many years ago on a trip to see

and challenged have started setting each other sewing challenges recently. The first one was to make some pyjamas, mostly as I had bought some gorgeous soft brushed cotton ages ago from and hadn't used it yet. I went with the from for my pattern.
Although I sew a lot I'm still not confident with clothes as they have to fit! So pyjamas make nice toiles 😂 the pattern was really easy to follow and make. The top has come out huge, which is fine for PJ's but I want to make it as a day time top in a different fabric so I think for that I'll add some length and make it about 2 sizes smaller.
The trousers have a paper bag top and are really comfy. They also may end up being made again for daytime wear but again possibly longer so I can add turn-ups.
Go and see what made this month, I especially love the leggings she made.
Our next challenge is a blouse ... So I may remake and tweak the pattern 😁
