✨💙 What a transformation! 💙✨

This stunning blue resin river run table has been completely stripped back and professionally re-finished, bringing it back to life and giving it a finish that really makes the whole piece stand out. 🔥🪵

The original finish was carefully removed to expose the beautiful natural timber and reveal the depth and character of the blue resin river running through the centre. Once stripped, the surface was thoroughly prepared, sanded back through the stages to create a smooth, clean base, while taking care to preserve the detail and shape of the timber and resin. 🛠️✨

The resin was then carefully cleaned and refined, bringing back its incredible depth, colour and clarity. The timber was prepared ready for its new finish, with every part of the surface worked to ensure a consistent, smooth result.
Finally, the table was re-finished to give it that gorgeous deep, rich appearance while providing a durable surface that will protect it for years to come. 😍

The end result is absolutely fantastic! 💙 The contrast between the natural wood grain and the striking blue resin is incredible, and the renewed finish really makes the colours, grain and character pop. What was once looking tired has been transformed into a real statement piece. 🤩🔥

✨ Another outdoor project completed by our team! ✨
We’ve just finished these bespoke outdoor cushions for Jalou in Newcastle. 🖤✨
This fantastic outdoor area has become a real hotspot at weekends, so our new cushions will make sure customers can sit back, relax and enjoy their drinks in comfort. 🍹☀️
Made using the Christina Marrone Enduro range, we chose a sleek black body with gold piping to perfectly complement Jalou’s signature colours and give the seating a stylish, premium finish. 🖤💛
Another great transformation, ready for customers to enjoy! 🙌

It’s always a pleasure to welcome local footballer and family friend Lewis Miley to our office! ⚽🙌

Lewis and his partner, Nicole, stopped by to look through some fabrics for an exciting project we’ll be working on together. We can’t wait to share more with you soon! 👀🛋️

We had the pleasure of carrying out some work for Lewis and Nicole last year, and as a thank you, Lewis kindly gifted us his match-worn shirt from Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup semi-final against Manchester City. 🤍🖤 What an incredible gesture and a fantastic piece of memorabilia to have on display. Thank you, Lewis – we absolutely love it! 👏👕

Before & After – New High-Density Seat Foams 🛋️

Check out these before and after pictures from some of the sofa seat cushions we’ve been working on this week.

Over time, the original foams had lost their support and had become badly compressed and sunk, leaving the cushions uncomfortable and lacking the support they once had.

We replaced the tired old foam with new, high-density seat foams, giving the cushions a much firmer, more supportive feel. We also tightened up the springs, webbing and supporting structure underneath the foam to make sure the whole seating area was working as it should.

The result? Better support, improved comfort and a sofa that feels like new again. 🙌

Another great example of how replacing the right components can breathe new life into your existing furniture rather than replacing the whole sofa.

We’ve just completed a mini refurbishment of the banquette seating at Jalou Newcastle ✨

The old high-back banquette seating has been removed and replaced with three brand-new half-moon booths, alongside recovering some of the existing seating. The seats and diamond-stitched lumber have been finished in ILIV, complemented by the stunning fluted velvet pattern material supplied by Arles House. 🛋️✨

Another great collaboration with Simon and the team at Collective Design 🤝 — it’s been fantastic bringing this project together.

We’ve still got the VIP area to complete, along with stripping and refinishing the toilet doors, but it’s all really coming together and the place is looking brilliant! 🔥

Furniture Clinic North East Ltd is a family-run business with over 20 years' experience specialising in furniture upholstery, vehicle upholstery, restoration and bespoke manufacturing.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Upholsterer / Vehicle Upholsterer to join our expanding workshop team.

🔨 The role

You'll work across a varied range of projects, including:

• Furniture upholstery – sofas, chairs, bespoke seating & restoration
• Vehicle upholstery – seats, door cards, consoles & interior trim
• Leather, vinyl, fabrics, faux leather & Alcantara
• Foam, padding and upholstery repairs
• Pattern making and template creation
• Classic, prestige, modern and specialist vehicles
• Bespoke furniture and commercial upholstery projects

Your role can be tailored around your skills and experience. Experience in both furniture and vehicle upholstery would be a bonus, but we're also interested in highly skilled upholsterers with strong experience in either area.

👤 We're looking for someone who:

• Has professional upholstery experience
• Takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship
• Has excellent attention to detail
• Is reliable, hardworking and organised
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Has good practical and problem-solving skills
• Has a full UK driving licence (preferred, not essential)

✨ Another boat transformation completed! 🚤⚓️

We’ve just completed a full re-trim on our client’s stunning Bayliner, upholstered throughout in Covertex Maximo marine leatherette for a fresh, stylish and hard-wearing finish. 🤍

To add that extra personal touch, we also had the boat’s name beautifully embroidered into the backrest of the captain’s chair — a detail that really brings the whole interior together. 🪡✨

The finished boat is absolutely stunning, and what a fantastic job by the team! 👏🔥 The attention to detail speaks for itself.
