Full of lurgy yesterday and today, so not been able finish soldering what I was going to post. ƁUT just as well, as: 1. I wanted to remind everyone of this fabulous event and
2. I should be well and truly recovered in time to finish making a few more new suncatchers and be 100% fit for "this not to be missed: event ✨️

Now to find some earring hooks and a chain!
The petals on the pendant, fell off soooo many times in the making process! The glass needs to be hot enough to meld but not lose shape or even worse melt and fall off 🫣
Has anyone read The Glassmaker by Tracy Chevalier? I have even more respect for those early pioneer lampwork artists, 100s years ago in Venice 💙

The Burrell Collection, is truly amazing! Spent 4 hours admiring the glass displays from Ancient Egyptian and Phoenician glass up to the 19th century. This is just a few of the 100s of photos I took. Then time for a quick look at the tapestries, lace making, velvet making, alabastar carvings and mosaics before time to go. Must return to see all the paintings and more!
