The magic of anemones 💜

Anemones are easily some of the most fascinating flowers we keep at the shop. These soft white and lilac ones have just been put out on the display, and they have a wonderful little quirk that always surprises people.

Anemones are highly reactive to light and temperature. If you watch them closely at home, you will notice that their delicate petals gently open up wide during the day to soak up the warmth and light, and then securely close back up at night when the sun goes down. It is a lovely reminder of just how alive and dynamic fresh flowers really are!

To get the most out of their stems, place them in a cool spot away from direct heat sources so they don't open up too quickly.
