Crackle glaze isn't a flaw, it's a technique. Potters in Jingdezhen have been deliberately inducing those fine fractures for centuries by cooling the glaze at a different rate to the clay beneath. Each network of lines is unique to that firing, that day, that kiln. No two are the same.

That lattice panel behind the sideboard isn't decorative in origin. Chinese window screens like this were designed to filter light and air while maintaining privacy. Geometry does the work of a wall. Hung flat, they bring the same quality indoors.
