Following extensive fire damage at this property in Heaton Chapel, the house needed a major restoration, with the interior stripped out and started again.

As part of the insurance work, we carried out fresh plastering throughout the property, followed by the painting and decorating. The ceilings were finished in white, the walls in Benjamin Moore Linen White and the woodwork in white satin.

The photographs show the progress of the work and the finished results across several rooms, including the kitchen and bathroom. It's great to see how the property has come together after such extensive damage.

We offer a snagging service to help get those final jobs completed. This could include wall repairs and small plastering jobs, radiator painting, internal window painting, caulking, cleaning light fittings, window frames, plug sockets and switches, plus other finishing touches.

So if you've reached the nearly finished stage of a project and have a list of jobs still to complete, get in touch and see if we can help you get them ticked off.

This bedroom was ready for an update, and changing the wallpaper has made a huge difference to how the whole room feels.

The old wallpaper was removed, the walls were prepared and new botanical wallpaper was hung throughout the room. The lighter design has really freshened up the space while still working well with the existing furniture and features.

A lovely transformation and a good example of how changing the decoration in one room can completely change its feel.

Hello all,

Recently we've shared a lot about painting walls, so today is a little different: wallpapering!

Preparation is key to hanging wallpaper. We filled the holes and sanded the walls down. Then we sealed the walls with a product called Zinsser Gardz.

Zinsser Gardz provides a good base for wallpapering. It stops wallpaper paste from soaking in too fast and gives you a good "slip" for pattern matching, particularly important on this job.

The work was completed at the Albert Hotel in Disley.

Decorating jobs big and small are welcome. Visit our website to get a quote.

It is always good to hear back from a happy customer who wrote:

Divine Decorating did a fantastic job painting several rooms in our first home, including a tricky half-and-half colour wall.

The finish was excellent. Andy was friendly, professional, and worked efficiently. He made a stressful time much easier!

Thanks for the feedback and we are pleased to hear we eased some of the stress.
