Still Lifers - it’s Caro! Carolina Sepúlveda

If you’ve wandered Stockport’s old town at any point in the last decade, you’ve probably crossed paths with her. Caro is a Portuguese-born photographer and artist whose main subject seems to be the human form in the n**e.

These days you’ll mostly find her at Lisa Gray’s. Before that she had her own shop here in Stockport (bring it back, please). On 29th October she is launching a book of her work at Village Books. Village

Taking a little break from product related content, to share a letter my partner had published in the Financial Times this weekend.

Initially I just wanted to show off cause I like the way he thinks and the way he writes. I was going to apologise for posting something unrelated to what we do here at Still Life. But as I re-read it, I realised it’s exactly what we’re about: building community and showing up for people.

Community feels like such a buzzword at the moment. Everyone seems to want it, but most seem incapable of finding it. It’s really not that hard - It’s turning up, paying attention, and looking out for each other.

I like to think we’re on the right track as a community here in Stockport right now ❤️
