It's WIP WEDNESDAY!!!
I'm afraid my WIP's have altered greatly this week. The daughter of a freind had picked up a "really old" pattern that she wanted knitting for her baby. I expected it to be a proper old fashioned matinee coat. Was it? Was it flip. Instead it was an all in one, babygo! And to add insult to injury it was all in garter stitch. Me the recently rediscovered fairisle knitter making all garter stitch! She never asks me to do anything for the baby, so what else could I say? At the moment it's quite enjoyable and is occupying my mind as there is lots of shaping and button holes involved. Plus it will be good to have something that I can watch the TV doing. Stand by for the moaning when I get past the legs bit though.
In the shop I started a workshop last week to knit a cardigan in the round. As I needed it to be up to the sleeves for this weeks course it has been a priority and I am ready for this evening. I've also made a couple more poppies for the display at Thornley Park Denton. If you have any they would be more than welcome. As far as I know there are over 300 made, six wreaths and two little soldiers! It will be a lovely display to browse on remembrance Sunday and for about a week after. If you have any you would like to add, please drop them in at the shop.
