When the building moves, the joinery has to adapt. 👌🏼
As part of a major restoration project on a Grade II listed building in Manchester City Centre, our team were tasked with manufacturing a range of bespoke timber window frames — including some impressive curved bay windows.
After years of movement and settlement, no two openings were quite the same. This meant every timber component had to be carefully measured, shaped and curated to create strong, accurate new frames that worked with the existing building.
It’s a fine balance between traditional craftsmanship, modern performance and meeting the requirements of a listed building — and that’s where the detail really matters.
Every curve, joint and component has been manufactured with purpose, ensuring the finished windows are sympathetic to the building’s character while giving them the strength and longevity they need for many years to come.
Heritage restoration isn’t about making things fit. It’s about understanding the building and making the joinery work with it. 🪟🔨
