AB Shutters & Blinds

Another couple of today's installations completed ✅

It's been a busy day for the team!

Today we:
🏠 Installed a full house of beautiful wood Venetian blinds along with some shutters in Middlesbrough
🏠 Fitted 3 blinds for a customer in Stockton
🏠 Installed the motorised roller blind featured in our previous post

Now, if we're being completely honest, that "one blind" probably took longer than expected! 😅

The remote had become unpaired from the motor, which meant plenty of head-scratching, instruction manuals, troubleshooting and reprogramming. It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but after a bit of perseverance we successfully programmed the blind and got everything working perfectly.

That's one thing we're proud of at AB Shutters & Blinds. If we come across a challenge, we don't walk away from it. We'll always do everything we can to get the job finished properly for our customers.

Meanwhile, Patrick was up in Pickering putting the finishing touches on our lodge installation, fitting one of our stunning Illusion blinds

A long day, plenty of miles covered, and lots of happy customers. That's what it's all about! 🙌

✨ Another beautiful installation completed in the Grey Towers Estate, Nunthorpe! ✨

We fitted café style shutters throughout the ground floor for a lovely couple, giving the perfect balance of privacy and natural light. They allow daylight to flood into your home while keeping privacy from people passing by. And let's be honest... they look absolutely mint too! They really enhance this gorgeous home.

Not only do shutters look fantastic, but they also offer some great benefits:

✅ Improve privacy without blocking natural light
✅ Easy to maintain and keep clean
✅ Add value and timeless style to your property
✅ Full height shutters can help reduce energy bills by adding an extra layer of insulation at your windows, helping keep warmth in during winter and reducing heat gain in summer

🏡 A few of this week's installations already completed and we're off to a great start!

The bay window featured in these pictures was installed for a customer in Marton Manor and we think you'll agree it looks fantastic. The main bay was finished in our best-selling Vivid White shutters, giving the room a bright, clean look whilst still offering excellent light control and privacy.

We also fitted café-style shutters on the landing window, providing privacy from the outside without blocking the natural light coming in. A great option for front-facing windows where curtains can often make the space feel darker.

Something else worth noticing in these pictures is our Chocolate Brown Grain finish fitted for another customer 🤎. It's a little different from the traditional white shutter and adds real warmth and character to the home, especially when paired with natural wood furniture and flooring.

One of the biggest advantages of shutters on bay windows is that they're made specifically to follow every angle and curve of the bay, creating a fitted look that curtains simply can't achieve. They're also easy to keep clean and allow you to adjust privacy throughout the day without having to fully open or close your window coverings.

What do you prefer... classic Vivid White-or something a bit different like **Chocolate Brown Grain? 👇 we offer shutters in any RAl colour!

🌟 Another cracking awning install completed in Great Ayton!🌟

Just look at those views! 😍 Imagine sitting under this awning with your morning coffee, taking in all that greenery while staying shaded and comfortable.

This customer wanted the awning fitted higher so they could still use their outward-opening patio doors without any issues. We made up some bespoke brackets and got everything fitted perfectly.

✅ Full cassette awning to keep the fabric protected when not in use
✅ Powder-coated frame in the customer's chosen colour
✅ Premium waterproof, UV-resistant fabric built for UK weather
✅ Wind sensor available, so if the weather turns while you're out, the awning automatically retracts itself
✅ LED lighting and heating options available

The best thing about an awning? It genuinely creates another living space outside. More family time, more BBQs, more evenings outdoors, and more use from your garden throughout the year.

This whole transformation was completed in around 3 hours, completely changing the look and feel of the patio.

At AB Shutters & Blinds, we know our awnings inside out and use quality fixings, proper installation methods, and the best equipment to make sure every job is built to last.

🔥 AUGUST OFFER🔥

The next 5 customers, to order an awning will receive a FREE wind sensor, plus a choice of either FREE LED lighting or a FREE heater.

We also supply and fit commercial awnings available with business signage

🏡 Today's Installation | Yarm-on-Tees Apartment

A lovely shutter installation completed this morning in a beautiful apartment in Yarm-on-Tees.

One thing we hear all the time is, "Aren't all shutters basically the same?" The simple answer is no.

These are our premium Basswood shutters, manufactured from real wood and built to last. While we do offer more budget-friendly options to suit different budgets, these are the shutters we recommend when customers want the very best.

✅ Real Basswood construction
✅ Huge range of colour options
✅ Waterproof coated options available for kitchens & bathrooms
✅ 10-year guarantee
✅ Made to stand the test of time

Unlike blinds that may need replacing after years of wear and tear, quality shutters are a long-term investment that add style, privacy and value to your home.

And no, they're not the cheap PVC shutters you'll often see advertised online. These are proper, handcrafted shutters designed to look as good in 10 years as they do on day one.

If you're thinking about shutters, we'd be happy to show you the difference between budget and premium options so you can choose what's right for your home.
