Up early to cut all the beauties from my garden for a wedding this weekend. The flower room is now filled with buckets of the prettiest seasonal stems having a long cool rest and a drink and I am so looking forward to getting creative with them tomorrow.

Introducing the Preserving Jar Bouquet🌸

The largest of my jar offerings featuring a bountiful seasonal arrangement in a glass preserving jar which can be repurposed once the flowers have finished. This one is a lovely vintage french ‘Le Parfait’ jar, I love how the lid seal matches the copper blooms - signs of autumn creeping in. Such a joy to deliver just now in the village for a wedding anniversary, swipe to see it looking rather lovely in my snug before heading off to its new home🧡

Home from a wonderful weekend in the Cotswolds for a wedding and straight out to snip a few dahlias - it never feels like home without fresh flowers inside.So pleased I have a new spot for them on this old bookcase which used to be in my son’s bedroom (he now has a very cool vintage post office sorting cabinet in its place so we’re all happy). I gave it a fresh coat of paint and then hung this beautiful framed landscape that I bought last week above it - love how the sludgy browny pinks tie in. The painting is of Hadleigh church which is just a few miles away and was a very lucky FBM find, I absolutely love the old frame too.

Happy new week everyone - hoping we all get some more rain that is forecast in a few days time.

The annual ‘dahlia as big as my head’ photo featuring queen of the dinner plates, ‘Café au Lait’. I hope you’ve all had some rain… it poured yesterday evening for about half an hour and it feels so lovely and fresh in the garden today. A total joy to be out in the cooler temps cutting flowers for my Friday orders.
