Established in early 2012, Ripping Yarns in an independent wool and haberdashery shop, catering for all budgets. Although originally based on the picturesque (if occasionally wind-swept!) North East coast, in Saltburn we are now firmly established in Stokesley, North Yorkshire. We stock a range of fantastic from West Yorkshire Spinners, Rowan,
Manos Del Uruguay , Alpaca UK, Jamieson & Smith, as well as fantastic budget yarns perfect for everyday projects. History, heritage and high quality are words we value at Ripping Yarns, which is why we stocking a range of wool from hand-knitting experts Sirdar, a company first established in 1880. Stylecraft and King Cole are firm favourites and you can expect to see their diverse and innovative brands well represented on our shelves. Also available are beautiful ribbons, buttons and other essential haberdashery items to add those all important finishing touches to your crafty projects. We are pleased to be able to offer some amazing stitch markers from Beaded Allsorts, with lots of other bits and pieces to keep you busy. At Ripping Yarns, we want to make knitting accessible and fun for all, but we need YOU to help us build up our community of crafters. Our experienced and cheerful staff are more than happy to assist you with your projects, whatever your skill level, so please do call in for a chat and a cup of tea.
