After the last three days of wonderful weather, it’s now chucking it down outside. So it’s back to the craft room. Lots of Harris Tweed goods being made and finished, and I hope to deliver this all with the knitwear to the Wobbly Dog Cafe (wobblydog.scot) next Tuesday.

Hello, after two busy days in the garden, we gave ourselves a day off. We went hunting for the machair, down on the south west corner of the island to the Uig peninsula and Great Bernera. No machair to speak of but the beaches were stunning in all the sunshine. I give you Reef, Cliff, Ardroil and B***a. Some of our favourites. Apologies for the dog barking his head off. EXCITING NEWS!!

As from today some of my products are on sale at the Wobbly Dog Cafe https://www.facebook.com/share/1DeTQu2Z2B/?mibextid=wwXIfr up at Ness, here on the Isle of Lewis. This is a super little cafe that produces fine coffee and amazing cakes. It is also very dog friendly.

At the moment you’ll find my Harris Tweed goods there, but hopefully by the end of next week I will have supplied some knitted fair isle goods too (except hats, as I always keep these for the Craft Market stalls)

Hello all,
Wow! What a day it was yesterday
Such a fabulous time in the Tarbert Community Centre taking part in the Handmade Harris - Craft Fair. I had the privilege of meeting so many including new followers and returning customers too. I enjoyed meeting you all. I’m thrilled to say that after ‘doing the books’, it turned out to be my best sales day ever since starting out 4 years ago after retiring from the NHS. I am beyond grateful. Needless to say stock is significantly reduced and I had the obligatory visit to the Harris Tweed shop in Tarbert on the way home. Two of these tweeds I’ve used before and are very popular, but the pastel pink is a new one on me. What do you think? I’m having a much needed rest today so any further messages I’ll respond to tomorrow. Thank you once again

Another fabulous little market at Clan Macquarie community centre yesterday. Thank you to those who came, especially to those who made purchases. Lovely to chat to you all. Busy now after some good sales in advance of Wednesday at the Town Hall where we hopefully will welcome guests from Holland & America’s Neuiw Statendam who will be in port for the day. Weather is looking fine so docking shouldn’t be a problem 🤞🤞🤞😍

Good morning. Welcome to all my new followers who joined us recently. My next Market will be on Saturday 2nd May over at Clan Macquarie in Borve. It’s a lovely little market with some lovely handicrafts made by talented crafters here on the Isle of Lewis. Please don’t confuse Borve with the little village on the west coast of Harris; this Borve is in the westside of Lewis heading north to Ness. It’ll be well signposted as you approach it. Plenty of parking as well as a lovely little cafe on site. I’m very busy trying to catch up after my market down in Harris last Friday. There will be lots more Harris Tweed items which sold well and possibly another hat or two.

Today was just wonderful, after receiving a very warm welcome from fellow traders and market leaders, it was a joy to meet so many and welcoming back return customers. I’ll be back down again in May and will confirm the date nearer the time ❤️
