At a trade fair in Birmingham yesterday I had the great pleasure to meet and chat with Jeff Banks and the rocker, and founder of Candlelight, Mike Winch.

Jeff Banks may be more familiar, having presented The Clothes show from 1986 to 2000, and being a designer of clothing, jewellery and home furnishings, whilst also a co-founder of Warehouse.

Myself and Boutique By The Sea had a good chat with both of them. Both lovely guys who took the time to have a chat, give advice and show support of the business. Mike did also give me some other advice about my extremely high business rates, but I can’t repeat that on here!! 🤣🤣

I had a good visit to Birmingham and ordered lots of new stock, so watch this space as it starts to arrive.

It’s trade fair season, and for the next two weekends I will be in Birmingham and London. If you are after something specific that you want me to source then do let me know and I will add it to my list. I will be on the lookout for new suppliers so watch this space.

New in are these lovely ceramic items. The bear bowl is adorable, and just crying out to be filled with chocolate (at least that’s what I would put in it)!

How pretty is this green fluted bowl and these adorable acorn side/cake plates. The mustard fruit bowl is a lovely statement piece for any table.

Each of these also make for a lovely gift. All available in store whilst stock lasts.

New in - it’s a delivery day, and we have a lot of new stock! Here’s just a taster, but we are also still unpacking so there’s plenty more. Lovely drip effect rustic vases, black lanterns, and these zigzag design baskets. Now available in store.

It was an early start this morning with a large delivery at 7.30am! The first box I opened did however make me laugh….....

It was an early start this morning with a large delivery at 7.30am! The first box I opened did however make me laugh….. there are trays and then there are TRAYS! The largest of these is 80cm diameter, yes really, and the smaller 65cm. Note to myself …. I must read the dimensions when ordering!! 🤣🤣

Lots of unpacking to do today, so do pop in and see what’s new. Oh and if you want to buy a rather large tray that would be helpful - we have two of each of these! 😁
