Had a quick peruse through some archive pix today, loads of pottery items that I forgot I made. Lots of colour schemes also surprised me. I wish I had more time to catalogue these, record them, arrange them in colour coded patterns, create swatches in a variety of mediums, and make a billion more glaze combinations... to then record and arrange and look at again.

But I can't even remember what colours I used today. We'll find out when I open the kiln tomorrow.

I've had the usual summer rush of visitors pottery sessions, so haven't been able to make any pots myself. The shelves are getting emptied quickly, so I had a throwing marathon yesterday. Once I start I don't want to stop!

It's as well that I got a lot done, as I foolishly was handfeeding a piggie later on and, blimey that lil' guy has sharp teeth! So no throwing today for me.

This month I discovered that I can't use a spinning wheel, reverse with a small trailer, grapple nor shear a sheep. I'm not great at horseriding... the list goes on. It feels vulnerable to be rubbish at stuff at my age..but also weirdly refreshing.

These little 'Fairy pools' continue to be best sellers, the crackle effect is created by upcycled broken glass fused in with the glaze, fired to temperature. Inspired by the Fairy pools which are all around the not just the famous ones on skye. There's some great swimming pools in the river a short walk behind the studio.

Had a great day at the games, always lovely to see so many people and catch up with everyone. Many thanks to everyone who visited our stall. I totally forgot to photograph anything else, too busy in the moment. Great event, great work all the volunteers and organisers!
