Did you know?

Most people only wear around 20% of the clothes in their wardrobe regularly.

If you’ve ever stood in front of a wardrobe full of clothes and thought, “I have nothing to wear,” you’re definitely not alone!

Over time, our wardrobes can become filled with items that no longer fit, suit our lifestyle, or make us feel good. The result? More decision fatigue, less space, and a daily struggle to find the pieces we actually love wearing.

A well-organised wardrobe isn’t about having less, but about making it easier to see and access the clothes that work for you.

Ask yourself:
• Have I worn it in the last year?
• Does it fit and feel comfortable?
• Would I buy it again today?

You might be surprised how much space you can create.

Have you tackled a wardrobe declutter recently?

“A truly game changing experience”. Honestly gives me all the feels 🫶

There’s nothing better than helping families reclaim their space and fall back in love with their home. It was a pleasure transforming this kitchen and utility room, and I can’t wait to return soon to tackle their little girl’s bedroom and playroom in a couple of weeks!

Have you been putting off sorting paperwork for years. Let’s make it simple…

For most households, it helps to know how long to keep things for so you’re not holding onto paperwork forever.

As a general guide, utility bills can usually be kept for 1 year, bank statements for 1 year, insurance documents until they’re replaced plus a year, warranties and receipts for as long as you own the item, and home documents including deeds, etc, permanently.
It just needs to be manageable.

Today I helped a client tackle paperwork dating as far back as 1998 by doing the following:

KEEP — Important originals & active documents
SHRED — Anything no longer needed and with personal information
RECYCLE — Outdated paper clutter like pamphlets, instruction manuals you can find online and magazines you’re no longer reading

One of the easiest ways to reduce future clutter is by registering for online accounts wherever possible, so you can access previous statements and correspondence digitally instead of keeping piles of paper copies. Opting for digital statements and letters will reduce future paper where possible too.

My biggest tip? Don’t create complicated systems you’ll never maintain. The best filing system is the one you’ll actually keep using. Sorting paperwork doesn’t need to be perfect.

Save this for your next paperwork reset 🤍

Neat, Everyday — Cables & Chargers

How many cables & chargers do I really need?

Most of us are keeping drawers full of tangled cables, duplicate chargers, and wires for things we no longer even own.

Most people only typically need 3.

You probably don't need the mystery "just in case" chargers, or multiples of the same cable.

If you haven't used it in the last year, let it go.

This honestly made my day 🥹

Messages like this are exactly why I do what I do. It’s never just about having a tidy room — it’s about creating habits, calm spaces, and helping families feel happier at home. Well done Mommy & Matilda 👏🏻👏🏻

The fact that her little girl now loves keeping her room tidy herself is just amazing 🤍

Let me know if any of my content motivates you, or you’d like me to share any specific tips. I love to hear from you ☺️

Neat, Everyday — Cleaning Products

How many cleaning products do you really need?

Most homes only need a small core set.

A simple guide:
• Multi-surface cleaner
• Dish soap
• Dishwasher tablets
• Floor cleaner
• Bathroom cleaner
• Window/ Glass cleaner (optional)
• Disinfectant

That’s it.

Cupboards full of half-used sprays, duplicates, and “just in case” products don’t make your home cleaner—they just make it harder to organise.

If you’re constantly reaching past things you don’t use, you probably have more than you need.

Keep what works. Let go of the rest.

Well done Soraya! Looking forward to returning to this family in June 🤍

“Now Thea can help make her own breakfast.”

That’s the message I received from a client after we decluttered their kitchen, and it’s really stuck with me.

Thea is 2.

Before, the cupboards felt too full and unpredictable.
Things could fall, it wasn’t easy to see what was inside, and it just didn’t feel safe for her to be involved.

Now, she can open the cupboard, see what she needs, and be part of the routine.

That’s more independence for her.
More confidence for her parents.
And a calmer start to the day for everyone.

Clutter doesn’t just affect the adults in a home.
It impacts how children interact with their environment, how confident they feel, and how involved they can be in everyday life.

Sometimes it’s not about having less for the sake of it, it’s about creating a space that actually works for the people living in it.
