An important message from store owner Kath Campbell for work commencing Monday 15th June:

Campbell’s has survived and thrived for 158 years because it has never forgotten what matters: customers, quality, service, community and constant evolution. We cherish our independence because it allows us to deliver all of that in a way no multiple ever could. That is why Campbell’s is not just a supermarket in Leyburn; it is the supermarket at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

Our commitment to the future is clear. A big refurbishment begins on Monday 15th June continuing our nearly 30yr partnership with Costcutter, enhancing the store further with replacement and additional fridges, fruit and vegetable display upgrades, new shelving, panelling and signage throughout the store. This large investment will allow us to strengthen the shopping experience while preserving the warmth, quality and personality that make Campbell’s unique.

Starting upstairs in the wine & spirit department, the shop fitting team expect all the work to take 2 weeks and we will try to keep disruption to a minimum, by closing off the sections that they are working in and replacing the fridges on a night time when the store is closed.

We thank you all for your continued custom and support and we apologise for the inconvenience this may cause, but this short period of disruption is for the longer term investment and commitment of the business.
