Hi!
As many of you know, I’ve been crocheting for just over a year now. I started during a difficult point in my life after a friend suggested I look into it as I enjoyed finger knitting. I didn’t think much of the idea at first, and I never saw myself giving it a go as a business idea, yet here we are!
I’ve been thinking about turning my passion for crochet into a business for sometime now. With that comes the idea of a name. It was between Cariad Cread, or Crochet Cread. I wanted a Welsh word—Cread—somewhere in the title as a hint to my Welsh identity, and Cread, meaning creation (or creature), seemed like the perfect fit. And so, Crochet Cread was born.
I’ve got an Etsy up and running but I am yet to list anything. I’m also planning on selling in a local shop as well as some art fairs in the future. Items will range from crochet wearables (gloves, hats, scarves, and so on) to design graphs for tapestries, to tapestries themselves. I’ve got some ideas brewing them I am super excited about, and I can’t wait to share them with you. Thank you for giving me a follow, and my small business a chance 🥰
