Well, it's Friday, which means it's back in the van for me! Four days at home making and topping up and sneaking in a couple of lampshade makes and I am now heading to Chesterfield Dobbies for the weekend.
I love returning to familiar venues and seeing so many familiar faces again. It means such a lot when customers come back time and time again to support small businesses, and I'm always so grateful for every visit, chat, and purchase.
No camping and no hotel this weekend as it's close enough to travel each day, which means I get the best of both worlds a wonderful weekend at an event and I still get to see my boys every evening, which definitely puts a smile on my face. 😊

Yippee-de-doo-dah, yippee-de-day! 🎶

The sewing machine is finally back out 🤗 and there was/is rather a lot of half-finished projects waiting to be completed…..Did manage to finish a rather pretty batch of tissue case holders yesterday popular little things these are. All while the fur baby sat behind the child gate looking thoroughly unimpressed. Slightly ridiculous when you consider huskies can jump around 6 feet, but he knows certain rooms are out of bounds and bless him, still sits there watching me through the bars as if he's missing all the excitement! 🐾😂
Lavender pouches today ... here I come!

Wonder if I was set up ? 🤔

I was asked so many times at the weekend if my best-selling candle Clementine & Prosecco was available in a reed diffuser or car diffuser kit….. After being asked again and again, I jokingly said, "If one more person asks, I'll do it!" Well... five minutes later, someone else asked! 😂
So whether it was a setup or not, your wish is my command!
And here it is our gorgeous Clementine & Prosecco fragrance is now available in both reed diffusers and car diffuser kits. 🍊🥂
Next on the list are wax melts as it seems this fragrance has quite a fan club! Wonder if it’s the Clementine or the Prosecco that’s drawing people in, what do you think?

They’re here... 🤗
I’ve finally had time to start adding my new A Little Journey in Fragrance Car Diffuser Gift Sets to the website, and there’s not a drop of pink in sight, which has certainly pleased my boys! 🤦‍♀️And since these went down so well at the two shows last week 🙏. I spent all day yesterday topping them up and few more to be getting on with today. Couldn’t believe how many people mentioned the dreaded ‘C’ word when buying them! 😯 And people say I am organised!!!
Anyway must dash more to pour and load onto the website and expecting a very fragrant essential oil delivery today its for something new…

Where did May go ? .. I travelled a whopping 1260 miles to events and back. Spent 9 days camping, 5 nights in hotels and did 6 events. Absolutely devastated at one (last post) as were so many other small businesses but 🤞 I’ve survived the month, I met so many lovely new faces, so much support from everywhere I looked Thank You so much but maybe I’ll do a little less next year 🤦‍♀️.
June is set to be on paper just as busy but less miles, only 5 nights camping and 2 nights hotel piece of cake …..
Wonder what mischief I will be getting up to in June with a newbie range….I am started to get a little excited now as it’s at the top of the To List for June and I am ready 🤗.
Anyway, wishing everyone a lovely month and Thank You all so much for your support it really does mean the world in such tough times.

Small businesses really do carry the weight when events fail …

I’m ready to talk honestly about the reality of running a small business when the bigger boys walk all over you… In May, I attended what should have been my busiest event of the month after all, it was the most expensive. Turned out to be not only the worst event of the month, but the worst event I’ve ever done, with thousands lost. Absolutely devastating.
While it was the first time Farm Fest had been run (which is always a risk), it was organised by companies claiming to have 30 years of experience. Sadly, the reality was completely different, no signage, very little advertising, miss leading information around location and expected footfall… the list goes on.
The organisers still got paid, but small businesses like mine are left carrying the loss from poor planning and broken promises.
That said, during what has honestly been a torrid month, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to every single one of you here, and to everyone who supported me at my other May events. Your orders, visits and support genuinely kept me going, and I’m so grateful.
Onwards and upwards… here’s hoping June brings a little recovery to the devastation I leave behind and brighter days ahead 🩷 ###
P.S. The video was taken at 1:30pm on the Friday of trading, the two people in the video were fellow traders.

All set up and ready for 🌸
Another pretty display finished, and we're looking forward to a wonderful weekend ahead. The weather is looking lovely, the marquee is bursting with beautiful small businesses, and it's so nice to be back here again.

Happy Friday lovelies
What a lovely few days at Staff County Show so many lovely people, beautiful conversations and so much support, thank you all so much.
Packed up last night, straight on the road, a quick stop at home to see my boys, pack your lovely orders… and now for the bonkers part… I’m back in the van heading to County Fest in Westmoreland for my last show of the month.
It’s a hotel instead of camping tonight (I think my back filed a formal complaint 😂) and I may even get chance for a little social media scroll tonight if my eyes stay open long enough. But in case I don’t get time wishing everyone an amazing weekend xx

Feeling very pinky and perky today 💕🌸
It’s our first day at the wonderful Staffordshire County Show and the stand is looking as pink as ever! I’m so excited to be back at this lovely show for another year.
First night of camping done, piece of cake despite the thunder, wind and a little lightning ⛈️⚡ Now all I need is for those gates to open at 8am…
