Both business's focus on providing quality EN71-3 materials. Tactile Craft Supplies is the amalgamation of two craft supplies business's who specialise in EN71-3 tested products. Creative Craft Supplies was founded in 2014 by Melissa Davin-Smith after she discovered crafting via Manor House Hotel. Over the years she’s dabbled in sewing, screen-printing, vinyl craft and embroidery and loved it all,
which inspired Creative Craft Supplies. Creative Craft Supplies concentrates on great quality products, and over the years developed a range of core craft materials: Wool Blend Felt, Polyester Felt, Fine Glitter Fabric, Chunky Glitter Fabric, Iron on Vinyl HTV. Tactile Treasures was founded in 2016 by Husband and wife team (Dawn and Paul). I’m Dawn, a mum of three, who started to sew. In time I started making things for local craft fairs and discovered the world of CE testing (Now this UKCA). My husband Paul was hugely supportive and after taking my little handmade sewing business through the CE process took it upon himself to find those items I desperately wanted to use but discovered I couldn’t source. This lead to the creation of Tactile Treasures. We have been running Tactile Treasures since August 2016 – you may well have run into us as shows such as ICHF craft shows, The Quilt Show, Knitting & Stitching shows and Grovsnor Quilt shows in Birmingham, Manchester, Exeter, London, Glasgow and Harrogate, to name a few locations. We have also been on Hochanda crafting channel a few times too. Over the course of our business adventures we came across Creative Craft Supplies. I fell in love with the products and when Melissa decided to go on to other exciting ventures she needed someone to take over the reins of Creative Craft Supplies. Melissa saw we have a similar vision, while also striving to provide a quality service and with this decided to entrust Creative Craft Supplies to us. Initially we ran the two business websites independently for two full years but due to the very overlap of EN71 products and so many of our customers shopping on both sites we decided the time has come to amalgamate all these fabulous products onto one website. This also ties in nicely with us taking a mixture of both products to the shows. The new trading name includes the beginnings of both businesses as we move forward.
