Jumper update 🧶
After tracking every hour… I realised it wasn’t going to fit.
So I did the only sensible thing — ripped it all back and started again.

Tell me I’m not alone… how many times have you frogged a project before it was right?

Pattern: O•X•O Fair Isle Seeater

Yarn: _baa_ram_ewe_ Pip in natural and colourwork colourways

Fourteen hours in — and only a little way through ✨
This is my very first full Fair Isle colourwork jumper, and I’m choosing to take it stitch by stitch.

Every round is teaching me something.
Every colour change asks me to slow down.
No rushing. No shortcuts. Just enjoying the process.

This project isn’t about speed — it’s about care, consistency, and letting the fabric grow in its own time. And honestly? I’m loving it.

These mittens were knitted as Christmas presents, but they also hold something much more personal for me 🤍
Every pair here is my own design — ideas that have lived quietly in my head (and sketchbooks) for a long time.

I don’t have names for any of them yet, and they’re not patterns just yet either. Over the coming weeks I’ll be knitting second samples, calculating gauge and fit, and slowly writing the patterns up properly. Taking it one thoughtful step at a time.

This is something I’ve wanted to do for years, and finally allowing myself to turn those ideas into reality feels both exciting and a little bit scary. But mostly exciting ✨

I’d genuinely love to know what you think — and if any of these mittens spark a name idea, please share. I’m all ears and very grateful to have you here for the beginning of this journey 🤍

Some of you know that I live on a farm, and one of the big spring jobs around here is sheep shearing 🐑
It’s something we’ve been learning to do ourselves over the years to save on extra, unnecessary costs.

When my partner told me how much we make from each fleece, I nearly had a heart attack.
You ready for this?
50p per fleece.
For 250 sheep… that’s only £125 🤯

Now, I know our sheep are commercial breeds and not particularly known for the quality of wool or yarn they produce. And I know that for us, the wool is really just a by-product. We shear them to keep them healthy and comfortable during the hot summer months, not for their fleece. But still…

That’s when I had a little lightbulb moment 💡
What if we had a few sheep that produce beautiful wool… and I could turn it into yarn?

Spinning it myself? That’s a challenge for another day 😅
First things first — I need to find a sheep breed I fall in love with.

I think I realised that I enjoy knitting for others almost more than I do knitting for myself. There’s just something so special about seeing your handmade items being worn and loved. This is why I enjoy gift-knitting for Christmas so much — it feels like wrapping a bit of my heart into every stitch. 🤍✨

I’m working on this baby jumper for one of my nieces and I love how it’s turning out… except I’m not sure about the darkest pink. 😅 Help me out! Do you think it doesn’t quite go? I have plenty of other pinks in my stash, but I thought this one might give it a little pop of colour.

Gift knitting, winter afternoon sun, and my festive winter bedsheets are definitely putting me in a Christmassy mood today. Now I just need to go make myself a hot chocolate. ☕❄️

The pattern I’m using is by but modified it to look like DK version of the

Yarn: some of the unknown acrylic pinks I found in my stash.

I’ve always wanted to design. Truly. But for the longest time, I was scared to even try.
Scared of feeling like an imposter.
Scared that my ideas wouldn’t be “original enough.”
Scared that I didn’t belong in a space filled with so many incredible, talented makers.

But lately, something shifted. I allowed myself to play, to experiment, to trust that what I create has value simply because it came from my heart. And slowly, something new began to take shape.

Here’s a little sneak peek of a pattern that doesn’t even have a name yet — which somehow makes sharing it feel even more vulnerable and exciting.

I’ll be looking for testers soon, so if you’re interested, keep an eye out. Thank you for being here while I learn to be brave. 🤍

This is another reason I’ve been so quiet here on Instagram lately. Even though I’ve still been knitting most days, I’ve also been pouring a lot of my time into another passion of mine—working toward a more unprocessed, homemade way of living.

I’ve been making jams, foraging, and bringing those finds into my cooking and baking. Since we moved to our farmhouse back in May, I’ve realised how much I truly enjoy slow living… really being in the quiet, wholesome moments of the day.

I’ve stopped feeling the need to crank out knit object after knit object, and instead I’m giving myself permission to enjoy other things that bring me joy alongside knitting. It feels good to slow down, to savour, and to make things with intention.

Hello all! 👋 It seems I’ve taken an unintentional posting break — even though I’ve still been lurking in the background. I had a little shock when I realized my last post was all the way back in January! 😅

I do plan to come back and engage with you all a bit more. I really enjoy building new connections and chatting about all things knitting.

Expect plenty of WIPs and behind-the-scenes moments, but no finished object photos just yet — I’m deep into gift knitting, so only sneak peeks are allowed here for now. 🧶✨

Thanks for sticking around 💛

Second finished project of the year!

If you followed me in my stories you would have seen that I have made myself a headband at the start of the year and now I have completed something else.

My goal for this year is to destash my yarn or use more than I purchase. This hot water bottle cover was made 100% stash yarn! And managed to use up the last of the white ball and now it’s completely out of my stash. That’s why the collar is not folded as patter suggests 🫣 I ran out of yarn 😅 I think it looks good nonetheless.

I used only 3 contrast colours and honestly I quite like it!

I would like to know if you have any crafts related goals for 2025! Let me know in the comments.
