It begins with an empty terracotta dish—and slowly, one tiny piece at a time, it becomes a colourful mosaic bird bath.

Every flower is arranged by hand. Then comes the grouting, cleaning, painting and all those careful finishing touches that rarely make it into the final photograph.

That’s the beauty of handmade: you don’t just receive the finished piece—you receive the time, patience and care behind it. 💛

Sometimes a design begins with a detailed plan.
This one didn’t.

It started with a simple terracotta dish and a collection of small glass pieces left over from other mosaics.

I began placing them without a fixed pattern, choosing each colour and shape by instinct. Slowly, the pieces started to connect and the design found its own rhythm.

That is one of the things I love most about mosaic: fragments that seem completely unrelated can come together to create something full of colour, texture and character.

After the grouting, cleaning and sealing, this ordinary dish was ready for a new life in the garden.

🌸 It all starts with an ordinary terracotta dish…

…and a table full of colourful glass waiting to become something special.

Every flower is individually cut, arranged and placed by hand. There isn’t a template, a machine or a shortcut—just patience, creativity and many hours of careful work.

One of my favourite moments is cleaning away the grout and watching all those vibrant colours come back to life. ✨

Now it’s ready for its new garden, where I hope it will bring a little colour and become a favourite stop for visiting birds. 🐦💙

It started in our own garden, with one mosaic over a very plain brick wall….then another, then another.

What began as a little creative experiment has slowly grown into a collection of handmade garden art, created to bring colour, light and personality into outdoor spaces.
