At last! The builders are back and the roof is going onto Patrick’s new workshop after nearly 3 months of highly stressful arguments and “discussion”with Project Timber where we bought the flatpack shed sent down from Nottingham. We were very close to going down the legal route but luckily they saw sense and settled the matter of roof panels that didn’t fit at no extra cost to us. The builders are fantastic and so patient. So woodturning will recommence very shortly….Patrick has some extraordinary unique ideas and can’t wait to get going on that lathe…watch this space

Good morning everyone. I’m having to pause woodturning temporarily due to the manufacturers of my new workshop providing an incomplete shed with no roof! So at present I have lost 2 weeks’ work and am feeling extremely fed up! We are now entering legal action with the company which may involve the small claims court. Hopefully this will scare them into action. We are very angry as you can imagine! Please bear with us and the moment the shed is ready I will be in full production taking commissions as well as fulfilling all the ideas I have written in my little black book!

Each piece I create begins with a story in the wood. From spalted beech and New Forest oak to yew, mahogany, and driftwood gathered from the Pacific coast of New Zealand, I shape both ancient and living materials into functional and decorative forms. By pairing natural timber with vivid acrylics, I craft one-of-a-kind pieces designed to be used, admired, and gifted.

I also have an Etsy shop and this is the link:

With great pride we sold these items at the artisan market in Ringwood yesterday. The feedback we received from people who came to our stall was outstanding - phone numbers exchanged and we ran out of business cards!
