Wonderful antique Japanese wooden 'memento mori' jar or humidor in the form of a human skull with coiling snake coming out of its eye sockets and coming face to face with a frog seated on top. Height: 17.5 cm.

Unusual antique Chinese bottle or pepper/salt shaker with intricate relief decoration featuring a dragon flying amongst the clouds. Base marked with typical Chinese ‘zú wén’ 足紋 silver mark and signed 徳順 or 德順 'De Shun / Tek Soon', with another unknown symbol below. Possibly a Peranakan Chinese example made for the Straits communities. Weight: 29.5 grams.

Fine antique Chinese silver inlaid bronze incense burner in the form of a saddled horse standing on a rectangular plinth. Missing its cover which is usually modelled as a seated poet Du Fu. Judging by the wear and patina likely a 19th century, Qing dynasty example. We've never seen one with silver inlay before. Height: 13.5 cm.

Beautiful antique Chinese wooden home shrine statue of a dignitary or Daoist Immortal, possibly Wenchang Wang or similar figure. Depicted in long flowing robes and seated on a chair. Originally holding an item - possibly a sceptre - in his hands that are raised in front of his chest. Height: 22.5 cm.

Impressive large 18th century Chinese blue and white porcelain tankard featuring a continuous scene depicting figures in a windy landscape. It's lost is original handle but can be used as a nice large brush pot for scholar's desk.

Fine antique Japanese blue and white porcelain tripod koro with underglaze blue decoration featuring medallions with auspicious symbols and various scenes. Possibly Meiji period Hirado ware, even though we were unable to find one similar for reference.

New items just listed, including this stunning pair of large antique Chinese longan (?) wood statues depicting Buddhist foo lions with very expressive faces. Female with a pup and male with a brocade ball under his front paw. Both standing on a rocky outcrop atop an openwork carved base. Height: 31 cm.

Sublime antique Japanese Meiji period Satsuma vase decorated by Taizan Yohei IX and inspired by the works of Kono Bairei. Featuring a continuous scene with sparrows and butterflies flying amongst the flowers. Base signed with typical black overglaze mark 大日本帯山製 'Great Japan, Made by Taizan'. Beautiful, well-preserved example of unusual form.

Stunning large 18th century export porcelain charger with very finely painted deep underglaze cobalt blue decoration featuring a landscape with various buildings and boats.
