Styling or Staging, I guess both, styling the property to stage the scene! When I set up for shoot days, I really think about each room, I imagine what people would be doing in there... Mmm that room the light is lovely so they're having tea and biscuits with friends over there, having family for lunch at that table, sat at the desk writing a dreamy memoir there, just hunkered down for a cheese board with a drop of wine after a long day there, reading a novel and looking out the window over there... 🥪 🍷 📚


I really play the scenes out in my head and talk it through with myself before setting everything out in place. That way I know that when the incredible Poppy Jakes Photography takes the magic picture, the people who see the finished photos will really imagine themselves there too! 📸

I have fab new project to convert a 70's build house into a rustic country manor house Scottish Highland home, in Falmouth! 😁 🙌

Ooo I do love a challenge! Of course it will be full of texture, colour, and magical Demi touches... how exciting!! ✨

I will be starting design work on this now even though the work will be rolled out early next year. Because the house is pretty large and requires a full refurb, we need to start the planning the works now so we can get it right the first time during construction. This enables the trades, electrics, plumbing, underfloor heating, lighting and any funky features to be carried out and installed before any of the fancy stuff gets done! ALWAYS good to plan in advance... plan twice, do the job once, or however the saying goes! 😆 💪 🥰 🙏 ✨

I’ve been helping a client on and off over the past year and every so often she asks for something else which I haven’t charged for as wanted to help. Ive always offered my trade discounts to help too as they wanted to do as much as they can on thier budget ✨

Now that's what I call an entrance!!! I have loved working my way through my lovely clients house, and we finally get to the grand entrance, and grand it is indeed! My client loves it so much, she doesn’t want o put furniture or the mirror back on the wall!! 😍

Just look at that gold leaf! What a beauty she is, I just love it when my vision is embraced... Will obviously post when everything is complete but couldn’t wait to show this off! 🥰 🙏 ✨

Oh I just love working with my trusted talented trades! From my orginal design sketches to the professional craftmanship of the talents Andy at LivLen Installations... smashed it again! 😍 🙌

Our client had just finished building this basement apartment designed by the fabulous Charles Blake A Architecture, and wanted to make it more homely whilst being practical yet minimalist...I designed a built-in bed, shelves, a divider for privacy (without being too heavy) and a wardrobe storage with desk...I wanted a seemless blend in finish... over to Andy!! What a wonderful quality job he did! Loving teh extra lighting, colour change LED in wardrobe, shelving and under the bed, so it looks like it hovering, Amazing! Happy Client, happy me! Thanks Andy as always! 🥰 🙏 ✨

Poppy and I first met at a networking event around 10 years ago, I always remember thinking, one day Ill be her friend and one day we'll work together!! Since then we've gone from strength to strength and always pull each other into jobs to work togther, styling, staging, photography for completed projects and lotsss of giggles along the way... how lucky to have collaboration you can trust and rely on and now not just work together but lucky enough to call my very good friend, we share lot togther on our little journeys! I recently tendered for a new project and had to explain my process and how I go about things and what stages etc... 🧝 🪄

One of the easiest ways to show is the renders.

I recently read a very interesting article about renders and how 'they take 5 mins to render', however, what you dont see is the other 12 hours to actually create that render, from a floor plan youve also designed and created (which will be different from the existing floor plan space) and the products in that render which are thought about and curated, and the other 12 hours before that to source the products and materials from suppliers you're thinking about to go into the final design, which then go into the render, and the other 12 hours before any render even started to research the initial concept of the space...and so it goes on... sometimes people see a pretty image but wow, so so sooo much time, effort, and a huge amount of thought goes into all of it!! and thats just before the 'actual' work starts! 👷 🥰 🙏

Here we have, (which some of you will know and have frequented! 🍻) The Box Office... the first rendered 3D Images, the CGI render, and the finished actual product! Pretty cool I would say! But then I would...its a very cool space! 😎 🍸

Our fantastic Client contacted us as she was having trouble selling her house and the old estate agents weren't doing her any favours! She asked if I could style it to set the scene, so, I immediately got our Poppy on the go and also introduced our client to the wonderful James Cooper at ByDesign who then worked with his team to get it on their professional books! What a team! ✨ 🙌

We styled it, we photographed it, ByDesign videoed and promoted it and now, were sure it will be sold! Its all about collaboration! 😍 🙏
