Our monthly Repair Café returns to Dartington Village Hall on Saturday 7th November, 1pm to 4pm. This is such a good way to save money, reduce waste, learn practical repair skills, meet your neighbours and support a more sustainable community.
People often ask what we repair. The list is long! It includes electrical items, clothing and fabric, all kinds of tools, kitchen equipment, toys, ornaments and bicycles. But in a nutshell, we’ll attempt to repair anything you can reasonably carry in!
In October, some items we repaired included a sony hi fi, a children’s bike, a strimmer, trousers, an elephant bookend ornament, oil-filled radiator and a vacuum cleaner.
Maybe your old computer running slow and unable to take more updates? Rather than replace it, come and talk to our specialists about installing Linux. At the repair café you can have a look at how it works and how it will give your computer a new lease of life
Please bring along one item per person. Refreshments are provided too, and we gratefully welcome donations to support our running expenses.
