Who wants to play a little game of ‘Spot the difference’? 👀 👀

‘a crocheted tea cosy with pea pods’. It’s pretty good apart from the fact it is flawless and not achievable in reality - the stitches are too perfect, you can’t make crochet leaves/stem stand up without wire inside and I’m not convinced the cream stitching is even crochet 🧐
Pic 2/3/4 = the real life version crocheted by me! The extra leaves and green trim on the bottom were requested by my lovely customer.
Using AI for anything crafty is pretty controversial for many reasons not least because it gives a very false impression of what is possible in reality.
I’ll be honest, though, when I was asked to make a tea cosy with pea pods on it (which is up there with one of the more unusual requests I’ve ever had….), I said “of course!” and then my mind went blank 😵💫. Using AI for the initial inspiration saved me hours of trawling through Pinterest looking for anything remotely similar.
I still had to put the graft in with the yarn and the hook. I think AI is quite far away from being able to actually crochet given a machine is not yet able to crochet in the way machines can churn out knitting but ask me again in 20 years….

BTW, I love special requests (challenges) like this, no matter how unique and unusual! Especially now that I can ask my new little phone friend to generate anything🫣♥️ how down with da kids am I? 😂
