Good Wednesday Crafternoon Happy Crafters!

So what is on your desk - dont know about you but everytime i pick something up off my desk im inspired to create the next project and the next - and the next!
Anyone else need to write a list so we dont forget?

So on my desk is the finishing phase of 3 (yes 3!) journals using the same papers from ITD Collection.
So as I have those thoughts in my head, today's card making class was inspired and instead of using the Klimt Inspired collect - we used the collection!

Why wouldn't you when is has such fabulous design elements as this!

Good morning Crafty Hearty folk!

I hope your week began well....my 'working at the shop' nearly always starts on Tuesday.
I try to have Sunday as a me and him day and Monday as an 'im not going out day' although they're both my 'work at home' days too!

I know, complicated right!

Anyhow - I'm in the shop from 9.30 - 1pm today and then the rest of the week is as normal (normal????)

Wednesday am - card making for beginners.
We have 2 spaces available for this session which runs from 10-12.
Wednesday pm - supported arty session 1.30-3.30.
We have one space available for a participant and pa on this session.

Thursday am- three sessions running.
Supported session with Sue. We have one space available for participant and pa.
Mixed media with Jo. One space available
AND
We have a new ARTIST IN RESIDENCE!
Colin Powell in now joins us weekly with his pastels and watercolour skills, knowledge and experience to share!
Please feel free to call in for a chat with Colin and find out how you can join in!
Colin will be with us 10- 2!

Mens groups will run 5-6.30 this week and we'll be learning more about Whittling with Simon Corcoran. This is a free session - please let us know if you'd like to come along.

Friday Free Choice - this session will see some of our group members creating with mixed media, some journaling, some of soft craft!
We have one space available on this session 11-1.

Next week is our Heritage Crafts week - and we look forward to your enquiries about opportunities to learn how to spin on a traditional wheel, quilt by hand and machine, wet and needle felting!

So today at Craft of Hearts Community Craft Centre we enjoyed another Crafting Together day.... and this time I was lucky enough to sit with the gang and enjoy a little creativity too!
So I created some Cluster Tags which will.go onto one of my almost finished journals and using papers from ITD Collection !
Looking forward to more creative time tomorrow too!!!!!

GOOOOOOD MORRRRRNING Happy Crafty Folk!

Thursday already. How on earth did that happen! Time is truly running away with us!

So today we have the terrible twosome in with Sue...my lovely lot are all away just now so ive been sorting and moving things so far!

This afternoon is supported class and then at 5.30 ill be live on my personal page Joanne Roe - who fancies not only joining me but suggesting a project?

Tomorrow is still that Feelgood Gang - and then Saturday we have a double whammy..... Friends of Rhondda Heritage Park are meeting at 11...I find the meetings really informative and make my brain go into a different gear!

And on this side of the upstairs we have Open Table Day....bring your project and enjoy crafting away in the company of other like minded 'friends to be'.
10 - 3 stay as long or short as you like.....
It is always a lovely atmosphere and in top of that its FREE!!!!!

And now the really serious bit.....

OUR VOLUNTEERS!

This is National Volunteer Week and a perfect time to say an extra special thank you to all of our Volunteers.

Volunteers are those who undertake chosen activites which support others for no financial or material gain.
Some retired, some full time employed and some seeking employment.
Many looking to participate and enjoy being amongst other people or maybe those who want to be out, in a safe space a d increasing their knowledge, skills and abilities quietly.
But......
Every single volunteer makes a huge difference. Changing people's day and lives with the care they put into every encounter and action.

Craft of Hearts Community Craft Centre is fully run by volunteers- no salaries, ni materials swaps...Just for the love of what we can do each day!

Thank you....all of our volunteers are very precious to us here!

GOOOOOOD MORRRRRNING Crafty Folk!

Happy June 1st and even happier meteorological summer!

Its going to be a bit iffy outside this next couple of weeks so let's look at whats happening at Craft of Hearts Community Craft Centre !

Beginning with Tuesday.....
This week we are only open half day ?dentist appt!)

So in the morning we have our needlefelting group who MIGHT be ready to turn their beautiful work into the kinds of book they each want to create!

On Wednesday you'll find me taking the Cardmaking for Beginners as our Jackie is away this week!
And in the afternoon Katie will be here to take the supported session along the way!

Thursday sees our Sue running the supported sessions - she knows exactly what all her girls need!
Thursday evening finds me running a fb lives over on my page ( Joanne Roe) - it may have to be something to do with rice paper!

Friday brings class along with our lovely Friday girls...each chosing their projects and keeping me on my toes!

And then a bit of tidying before Saturday shows its face and our Crafting Together (Open Table) - bring along a project, take a seat and craft away with others members of the Community who are also enjoying the happy aspect of crafting with others.....
AND ITS FREE!!!!!

So - thats how the week looks just now. Lets see if it keeps on track or if we make happy adjustments for people who come along to browse, buy or even start up their own crafty project!

Well what a lovely day at work that was!

Classes this morning....
Embroidering onto needle felting, creating new wet felting and supported class...all fabulous with great projects and fab folk!

Then in came more.storage and with the aid of the Mr its in place and looking tidier again..... although the contents of the boxes still need sort so if anyone out there has kallax fabris cubes they'd like to.sell on please let me know!

New customers and a surprise visit from Susan Smith finished off a happy and productive day.

Home then to take 5 and then run a live - which will be finished on monday at 5.30!

In the meantime we're back in the shop.at 10 am tomorrow to do even more of the same - pop in, we've loads for you to see!

Good Morning Gorgeous Crafters (and non crafters of course!)

Craft of Hearts resumes 'normal' practice today after our Bank Holiday break - hasnt it been glorious!

I spent much time staying out of the sun and only sitting outdoors in the shade and in the evening.

Did I get loads of crafty stuff done?
No!

But I did get a new class worked out yesterday and have a lovely samole to share with you *see pics!
AND I HAVE AN EXCITING 'THING' RIGHT HERE TOO!!!!!!

Our ATC journal class will be bith and online and in-house class -
It takes around 2 hours and for mine i used the Crazy Animals scrapbook papers from ITD Collection ...such a fun set of papers!

We can, of course, uses other design collections and I'd love to hear what theme or design youd love to use most.

So take a look at the Itd website and make some notes - then send your suggestions to me over on my personal page Joanne Roe .0

We'll be picking one lucky person (randome selection - from the hat!)from the list of suggestions to win either and online or in-house class FREE!!!!!

So - take a look and get sending your wishlist over......

Bit late today.... im so sorry!

Craft of Hearts Community Craft Centre is closed today due to bank holiday ......

We are open as usual tomorrow Wednesday) and throughout week.

We close at 3pm on Saturday and then reopen at 10am on Tuesday 2nd of June (already!).

Now I k ow im on 'holiday's I am still working.. im about to start on a set of ATC's for our ATC swap May (bit late again!
Im going to be using so.e papers from the collection.....
You can see how perfect they are for the National Book Week theme!

Is it really Wednesday already?

That means today is a really mixed bag!

This morning....
Jackie will take the supported card making session and we have a newbie joining us - cant wait to see how we get on!

On the other side of the table ill be looking after our mixed media ladies - and we all know i love a bit of painty fun!

Sadly our Katie Burns is a little.off colour today so that means im the lucky one who gets to spend the afternoon with another supported group before I have the joy of working with yet another group this evening....Wednesdays are always a bit bonkers!

Good Morning Crafty Friends.....

I hope nobody's too waterlogged today!

Im off to my happy work at Craft of Hearts Community Craft Centre and cant wait to work alongside Volunteers and my morning group...today the ladies will be finishing a felted journal covers...and then we'll be looking at fabric and paper pages to go complete their journals ready for use!

This afternoon there's a tad of tidying to be done BUT FIRST....I'll be gathering orders from our last fb shopping live (wonder what little gifts I will find to add into those orders!)

And DONT FORGET.....Mens Group at 5 tonight where we'll be Whittling with Simon Corcoran !

Im looking forward to welcoming thise who need a stash top up or just want to call by for a quick chat

I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with exactly what you wish for!
