This weekend I returned to Corrina and Wendy’s for another phase of ”let’s get the garden sorted in 2026”

This time I pulled down some decking that was at a different level to the rest making space to lay some new decking next visit opening out the space.

I also levelled most of the ground in preparation and measured up to order the timber.

While I was on holiday the ladies have done a great job first coating most of the decking and filling it with new garden furniture and a massive BBQ that I can’t wait to eat from.

Phase one of getting the Leylandi hedge removed for a lovely family

I’m over half way there.

This hedge was trimmed back and exposed a lot of dead wood and wasn’t recoverable so they gave me a shout to remove the whole lot

Luckily the cuttings can go into the privately owned woodland so this made the job easier

The front garden feels even bigger now and much lighter.

A lovely stop off at The HERB garden, on my way home from today’s job.

This little gem of a place is located half way between Turriff and Thornybank

I treated myself to some plants for my own garden and with the choice and value for money I will be back very soon.

Today I went to help my friend Donna out with a rotten fence post

Dona was worried that with the next storm the wind may take her fence down onto her neighbours car so today I put her mind at rest

I removed the turf surrounding the post, dug down and broke out the old concrete. The old post came off the fence easily and I managed to pull out the rotten part below ground. The new post slotted in with ease and is now perfectly straight, level and most importantly holding the fence panel securely

To finish off the turf was replaced and any mess hosed away

Tonight we had a VIP opening

I forgot to rake photos on Friday when I visited Andy and Fiona to fit the tin roof to the new stick shed, move some more gravel and sand and repair a door after a flame thrower incident

However today I got photos after finishing the panelling and making a door

Fiona had the honour of being the very first to open the newly hung door and she was very pleased

I cannot wait to hear from Andy when he gets a chance to go and take a look.

A day of catching up with Mother Nature

After a week off I returned to my weekly customers today to get their gardens back to where they we’re before the time off

First up was Christine’s where we strimmed the roadside, mowed the lawns and strimming of the edges and got some more weedkiller on the driveway while Christine was away with her dogs.

I decided I needed to make an impact so also got rid of the long thick weeds along both side of her fenceline giving her an open view to the fields and the most amazing views

I love how Christine’s garden is coming together and that she gives me free reign to do things to improve her garden
