Im off on a wee roadtrip this weekend with my family so won’t be out doing your odd jobs and gardening but don’t worry I will still be replying to messages.

Here’s hoping it’s dry weather when I get home to get some more bookings completed

I thought I’d share this picture I took on my lunch break today of the gorgeous Rhododendrons at the lake in Strichen.

Just look at how beautiful it looks with that reflection on the water.

This afternoon I nipped in for a coffee with one of my regular customers and to give her plants in the greenhouse a water

While there I decided to hang this beautiful picture she has been waiting a long time to be hung in her kitchen.

No greater feeling than seeing that smile on a customers face.

You know you need help in the garden when you’ve been watering an indoor plant for weeks and wondering why it’s not helping, only to realise it’s a plastic plant. (I told you I’d share that)

I was lucky enough to be able to go to Louise this afternoon after I was unable to do the fence painting that was booked due to the rain

Today was the first day of a project for me to sort out their courtyard garden that had got out of hand.

First up, harvest the largest rhubarb crop I’ve ever seen, clear an overgrown flowerbed. Then onto bagging garden waste and then to make a start on digging out a raised bed that’s started to rot so is being removed.

Thankyou for the coffee and biscuits. Oakley really enjoyed her ones too.

Oakley says it’s too wet to do any of the bookings I currently have so a rare afternoon and evening off for us

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the support so far. I only opened the business 13 days ago. In that time I have already carried out work for 7 customers and have several fully booked weeks ahead of me with all sorts of exciting tasks

Every follower, recommendation, review, share, enquiry and booking really means everything to me and the support from you all has been quite overwhelming

So, on this rainy day I thought I’d brighten your day with some photos of the gorgeous flowers appearing in a regular maintenance customers garden today.

A quick freebie job in between rain showers this afternoon at Logie Newton Farm, Lodges before the latest guests arrive for their holiday

The welcome sign area at the entrance was getting quite overgrown so I gave it a strim and rake to freshen it up and gave the sign a quick clean

I’ll be back in a drier day to give it some more attention with weeding and brushing off the stonework.

My first day working at Logie Newton Farm, Lodges helping look after their gardening needs

What a gorgeous view to work with and Thankyou to Oakley for keeping me company

Today I tackled strimming and raking the edges of the very long track in preparation for the next lucky guests coming. I’m going to estimate about half a mile

It’s been irritating the lodge owners but you have to give the daffodils some time after they die off before strimming.

You should see how beautiful the lines of daffys are on the way up the track in spring. And there is a special story behind why they are there.

Have you checked out these lodges? If not i suggest you do, they are stunning.

Back soon to take on more work at the lodges to keep them looking beautiful for the guests

We were pleased to make a start today on getting the lovely Christine’s garden looking pretty as she requested

Christine is a pleasure to deal with and wants me to get the garden back in shape and come up with some ideas to make it pretty

Today we made a start on reclaiming the grass. We strummed and mowed the roadside to not only make a better first impression but make it safer to exit the driveway

We then set about mowing all the lawn areas and stimming the edges.

Christine says I’ll bet there all summer so it’s just as well she’s a lovely person.

Looking forward to creating a special garden for her

If it was your garden what ideas would you come up with to make it special? Once I get it all tidy first.

Back to Susan again today.

I previously built a new wooden arch for the garden for her however the post spikes supplied were the wrong size so we sourced and supplied replacements and today we got her new arch into place and secured to the ground

As this took less time than expected I also mowed the lawn and did some more work rescuing her huge flower beds to get them into a more manageable state.

Finishing off with a change about of stuff in the greenhouse and if Susan’s message means anything I suspect she is happy.

”I was just out in the garden doing a bit of watering and suddenly it felt posh! Like an estate garden or a park”

What a week that’s been. 7 days since I started my first job and 6 since I started this huge job to recover the overgrown lawn for Mike and Chloe

Mike had his new robot mower on order but as it’s not a transformer it wasn’t going to manage this challenge. But it is very cool and we agree Chloe, it does look more like a Ferrari

26 hours of strimming, raking, mowing, mowing again and edging

77 large bags of grass cuttings removed from site (to be confirmed when I empty both vehicles stacked full at the moment)

30 footballs rescued from the long grass

2 blisters

And one very happy family able to enjoy their garden this summer.

A bit of rain and some more sun and it’s going to look fabulous

As an added extra I also gave the roadside along their property line a tidy up for free too.

Thankyou for putting your trust in me to look after your requirements and Thankyou to Tom at Toms OCD for all your help this week.
