Tidelines Unique designs hand painted using watercolour and ink, inspired by the shores of the Outer Hebrides

I've always loved to walk along the tideline of a beach and see the variety of shells, stones and seaweeds which are replenished every day. There are millions of tiny areas of beauty which I think should just be framed and put on a wall to transport you back to that beach once you’re home. Since moving to the beautiful Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, I've been capturing these snap

shots of the tidelines in watercolour and ink. I’ve added a tiny shell and a sprinkling of sand from the wonderful local beaches just to take you a step nearer to being there. My hope is that it transports you to a time of freedom and relaxation as you strolled or sat on a beach and took in a little piece of heaven.

It’s that time again- Christmas suddenly seems to be so close! The annual Christmas fayre in Uig always feels like the ‘start’ of it all!
I won’t be having my usual stall there tomorrow as we are off island at the moment.
However I still have my Etsy shop if you fancy a wee browse- original art is always such a thoughtful Christmas present!

A lovely day to swim. The water off the coast of Lewis is so clear and so turquoise, it always looks inviting! The water temperature is gradually dropping, it was 9 degrees today, but it is always warmer than the air!
It’s taken a wee bit longer for me to warm up post swim today , but what an amazing after glow and lovely endorphin rush!🤣

It’s been a bit of a bird theme the last few days…
The starlings which congregate around tbe bird feeders and appear in their masses in the evening sky. Our cheeky iconic puffins- painting them I realise just what an amazing and odd little bird they are! And the majestic gannets, which dive so accurately and appear with a fish every time. Nice to paint on wood for a change too, on these tablet or book stands.
